Default anyone tapped into a streetlight for power ???

now ive got my garage bk , the only thing that really stops me from spending time up there is the lack of power ,

the garage is bout a 5 min walk from my gaff and its a council let garage ,

just looking into options for getting power up there as i dont know anyone in the adjacent houses ,

ive got a lilttle genarator , but can get a little noisy ( aint aint new )

so how hard woudl it be to tap into a streetlight main or somthing similar , i know a lad who used to power his garage off one ,

any info ,

yea i know its blatant theft , but how often to they get checked , would it be tough to do ect ,

anyone got any experience with out like this lol

how much power are you wanting?
you could use a car battery and a inverter for small amounts of power.
these can be used for bigger power but it gets expensive but they are silent.

i dont see why not, just wear rubber boots and have a really good insulated screwdriver when you connect it up. how far aways the nearest lamp post? getting the cable safely across to your garage in a way that isnt going to put kids/animals etc at risk could be a problem?

Wire it up in daylight, when lots of people about and you are fully visible

Wire it up at night, when its live

Heads / Tails ?

I don't know if i'm right here, but if you can master art of levitaing in mid air(ala David Blaine) you wouldn't be earthed and wouldn't get a shock!
Or am i wrong?
Although the floating in mid air looks tricky to master.

I knew this guy... We called him Dad. He earned a side packet in his day doing these. Seriously. Any questions, let me know. From having a second meter in the house for down stairs, all the way to full on no 'Leccy being paid at all, he's done it all.

Benni.

They are perm live, just a day/night swich turns em on/off. When i was a kid, we had a block of sheds inside the bottom of the tower block where we lived, me mate hooked up a old 4 plug extension lead to one of the lights for free council juice, just dont arc anything out when you rig it up and hide the lead !!
