any official police who can answer this for me please?
the copper who turned up on saturday and said she "could" be prosecuting me for threatening behaviour was lying when she said she could hear me shouting threats to my neighbour, she even said that her colouge had over heard these comments
but, unfortunatly for her, i was recording everything on the phone, and, having played it back, she's possibly going to be in trouble as:
1, there is no way she could have over heard me
2, i was talking to my mate who came over to see what the commotion was about and the words were "if she'd have done that to me i would have smashed her face in" in relation to her assualting the wife
so, realistically, what can i expect to happen?
other than get a letter saying sorry? or is that asking too much?
proper coppers please, or someone who can add to the post rather than lots of hangers on or people who want to have a bash at the police, go start your own threads
thanks

no dealings with her before at all
she's said "if your neighbours have heard what you've said, and i'm a witness to this as i've heard you saying it, then you would possibly looking at being arrested for threatening behaviour"
when she's blatantly not heard me saying anything
my mum, being one of them neighbourhood watch types, has got one of our local councillors involved now and, as you may be aware, these things tend to have a habit of either not going anywhere, or blowing up and causing all sorts of problems for everyone down the line
i'm still awaiting the arrival of the community liaison officer who is supposed to be dealing with the matter from now on so i don't want my mum to get all worked up about somethign without knowing what's what (like mothers tend to do) which is why i'm asking the question
i've got her recorded, on the phone, and the whole thing is about 25 minutes long, from when it all kicked off when i saw what i saw and the police arrived (driving past, literaly 10 seconds later) to when they left our house
but seeing as i didn't tell the officer i was recording what she was saying, will it count or not? it's all in my house, not even out in the garden, from my doorway
i think what i'm trying to say is i'm not sure if i'd feel guilty if she got the sack or something

I think you'll find she is demonstrating what is wrong with England. I am merely suggesting you play her at her own level. If a Police officer wanted to tell lies as she thought she was above the law, which she clearly thinks she is as she is breaking the law while conducting it, then I'd have no choice. She could have came and done her job correctly, but she just couldn't, could she?

so no one with actual coppering abilities to advise me on what to do here then?
what i don't want to do is make it into some sort of international problem that needs the unitid states army to get posted here but what i do want to know is this:
if she's given in the big "i am" about this, then what else has she been potentially not telling the truth about?
it's one thing to claim to have heard an outburst from someone when you did no such thing, but when it comes from a copper, and if it went to court, would i be able to just pull it out of the hat at the last moment and say "well then mrs wpc, what do you say to that?" or should i just tell the liasion officer when he comes around and see what they do about it?
it's not about what "should" be the right thing to do, it's all about what the "law" says i can do

shame you never put a pic of a molehill though otherwise it'd be quite funny
you said you'd have to explain it if you just put a molehill pic. spot the contradiction...one min people are too stupid to know what a molehill is yet are supposed to be clever enough to work out the saying from a wrong pic?

Dojj,
No officer is going to give you an answer on this post - the next thing you know, anyone who gives advice will be quoted in this daft "potential court case". Hell, you've already stated you secretly record people on your phone and take pictures of their cars!
The way I see it is this - You should come to an agreement as adults between you and your neighbour. It's a civil matter, not a police matter. Carrying on this stupid feud will get you nowhere.
If your neighbour gets arrested, he'll make a counter allegation, then you get arrested. The whole thing will go to the CPS and then they'll bin the job stating "It's a load of toss. A mountain out of a molehill job".
The only thing you would have achieved is wasting a lot of time and money.

You are very small minded if you think society works in your favour because you are right. If only it was that simple. People go to court every single day in the right and end up being shafted by the Police alone. I'm sorry but if someone wanted to tell lies and be dirty about it, then I can play that game too. Dojj did the right thing in calling the Police and before you know it he's the criminal. Going the correct route has got him nowhere.

Dojj has the officers name and a witness so it shouldnt be too difficult to take it further with a solicitor should he wish.
I guess i must have been lucky resolving my parking dispute (with a neighbour, and the police, threatened violence etc......all posted on PF ) by doing things the right way.
As I said, total scum if you advise to bring racism into it when it clearly isnt

I am merely suggesting that its the act of scum to bring racism into it when there isnt any. Dojj has several legal options open to pursue all of which are official, above board and well documented and should bring a conclusion, no matter how frustrated he is, if he's patient, then society will work in his favour if he's in the right.

i'm liking the various topics here and it's nice to enjoy the gentle natured banter that has ensued
but as to the matter of no one in an official capacity posting here, why would they not post?
i'm simply asking for any possibl example of this sort of thing happening before and what the consequences os uch actions from the people who are dealing with it on potentially a day to day basis, i'm not asking anone to take the stand but when you have the officer in question saying "you do know what it will invovle if you decide to press charges against you neighbour for assult don't you? i'd have to arest her, you'd have to go to court, give statements all that stuff" which made my wife more worried about possibly repercusions after the event than getting the right reslut
and that, to me, is both shirking the duty as a copper to make things right, and scaring the mrs from dong anything for fear of potential reprisals, the exact sort of thing the police should be preventing in the first place, not to mention her "it's not damaged" when the screen is cracked on the camera and the "we don't do that sort of thing" when i said dust it for prints if the neighbours saying she didn't take it off my wife or even the "i'm not going to do anything as i didn't witness anything you are alledging"
the more you listen to it, the more she just wanted to get back to the station because she wanted to go out with her friends or soemthing, not actually helping out the public she's paid to help out
of course, if the counoler comes a knocking, i'm not going to say anything like that, i'm just going to play him the tape and let him make up his own mind
fogive the typing, i'm not well )

because it's all on the recording
from when the police arrived on the scene to when they left our house and drove off, all 22 minutes and 45 seconds of it
frm the mrs walking to the house when it started (after being told by the copper to pick the camera up from the floor even when she said that the other bint had thrown it o the floor, at which time i was on the house pohone speaking to the 99 lady and said "she's just hrow it out the window" etc) to closing the door and them driving off
i've not even moved it from the phone for fear of someone saying i've tampered with it
she just didn not want to know, "she's denied it so there is nothing we can do"
she also said that the camera wasn't stolen as we had it the only reason we had it was that she'd chucked it out the window and the coppr told my wife to pick it up from the floor

AFAIk, recodring a telephone cal without the permission of the people involved is also against the law (which is why businesses, BT etc always inform you that this call may be recorded). At the very least it will be inadmissable as evidence in a court case, and an extreme case could see the police using their powers under the prevention of terrorism act against you for recording a restricted conversation.
IMHO, let it go. We mere mortals can never win against the almighty plod, so no point giving them a bigger stick to beat you with.

Benni....
Correct, we are all entitled to our opinion. Its the likes of you... "lets throw the race card...." that causes issues! I am still shocked that you would make out someone was rascist when they claeraly aren't, and blatently lie.. Your fucking scum Benni..! and I do not agree your argument at all... and I would expect no one else on here to either! What a stupid thing to come out with...
On a seperate note, I saw your photoshop of the Focus in mallard colour and thought your work / skill was excellent. Have you ever thought about putting it to use and maybe finding a job that requires that skill? Saves sitting on the ne all day (unpaid apart from free hand outs / benefits of course).
