videos wont play

vids on youtube etc wont play for me anymore,they keep coming up with get adobe flash player which i've downloaded 3or4times and its not working,it also says turn javascript on in your browser,how do i do this or anyone know how i get my vids to work again?

Download the latest java from www.java.com,
after that download, install and run www.ccleaner.com to remove all your old cookies that may be causing a conflict. Should work fine after that!

Sounds like you have a permissions issue. Basically as many times as you care to try uninstalling/reinstalling flash it just will NOT work.
I am of course making the assumption here that your using Microsoft Windows Vista and not Windows XP etc.
You need to do the following:
Click on the start menu and type the following into the search box: "C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\"
Remember they are back slashes and not forward slashes.
Find the file called FlashUtil9b.exe or FlashUtil9e.exe and right click on the file and select Run as Administrator from the popup menu.
Once you have done that you'll need to restart your computer.
Then let us know how you get on from there.
