Anyone know much about them?

They seem good value now! Though im just dreaming at the moment. Check this out for the money:

BUT i think the 4 door AMG thing they do looks awesome

you can pick up some nice AMG stuff quite cheap now, personally this one ^^ has got a hint of a girly car about it.

love mercs, especially in black

If I was to get an AMG it would be a CLK and that shape. Can't see what is girly about it really. Meant to be a BMW M3 rival. Some, including that one, aren't supercharged.

SL55 AMG is where its at, a 2003 is right money now.
or
CL65 AMG is really nice, V12 twin turbo anyone ???

RUST,,, great engine, let down by a body that rusts faster than the engine goes!
all have been back to merc to have rust repaired, and they will keep going back till you sell them!

342BHP for the 5.4 V8 according to Wiki. It seems that those didn't come with the supercharger although I'm sure I've seen some with...

Gareth, I can never understand why Merc would never galvanise (sp) thier cars. Especially when they are not exactly budget cars

they maximized profits for a few years but it bit them in the arse! they are getting much better again though!
