I would move mate. It does'nt sound like you live somewhere nice.

I had bad neighbours in a bad area when I had my first house. Now I live in a nice private estate , nice neighbours and with enough space to park 2 cars and a garage.

Count your losses bud lifes too short move on the go back and get your own back. I superglued the door locks front and back

Old bastard had to climb out the kitchen window which was funny...

it's not like it's a bad area when you look at the council estate across the road, but it's just the wife of the neighbour who is just a right royal pain in the arse

the neighbours the other side have had rows with them, our neighbours the other side of us have had rows with them and the house 2 doors down have also had rows with them, mostly over parking spots but there is also a boundary issue and at least 2 counts of fisticuffs in the past few years between at least 2 sets of the other neighbours over the past few years

so it's just them that are not welcome, with the wife being the villain of the piece with her "wait till my husband gets' here, he'll sort you out" which, the last 2 occasions has seen him on his fat arse

If he's blocking access to your drive then report him to the police.....there is a lwa to stop that and despite his complaints which are a civil matter ( if one at all ) his are criminal and the cops can easily sort him out.

I wouldnt be knocking on his door every day....no fucking way

Dojj, stop being a fooking nuicance to the police. Its dealing with niff naff shite like this that takes all their time, so they haven't got time to solve any real crime.

Man the fook up and deal with it yourself!

You are the fucking problem neighbour by the sounds of it!!

Phoning the police because someone has parked over your drive, then moan that the police don't do anything, they've got better things to do ffs!

Go and have a civilised word, ask him politely to move his car along so you can get in/out - if you dont need in our out at the exact moment then just leave it, ain't doing you any harm!

As for taking pictures of his bad parking, wtf. Grow up!

+1. So this is the first time in a good while that he's caused any kind of inconvenience to you and you've called the Police? He's going to love that.

If I had caused any problems for a neighbor without realising I would happily sort it out for them. But if they phoned the Police I'd be fucking raging.

thanks
plenty of posts about this mate, and in all of them i've been really resonable, but he's been steadily inching his car further and further forward this week and it's not been a problem

but i know if i go and knock on his door it's going to be armed with a sledgehammer to smash the fuck out of his face, and his wife's the cheeky cunt, so i've not

it's going to be a question of selling the house now because i'm getting really pissed off about it, but apparently i've got to tell the perspective buyers about the neighbours, so no one is going ot buy it

if i'd have know this was the state of play when i signed the paperwork i wouldn't have bothered and bought the house 10 minuets up the road for Ł80k less

You legally obliged but we never when we sold up and it was constant disputes with the neighbours (on one side).

Now where happy back where we grew up near our family again.

Agreed it is a bad time to sell.

unfortunatly, i've spent the past few decades living on the same street about 100 yards away, with another asshole of a nieghbour and i've got to the point where i've sorted everything out in the house other than this pair of pricks who live next door
they don't talk to me, i don't talk to them, everything is fine like that

i'd love to mate, but i'm going to go the legal route first, and some fella's on this garden law site have given me some suggestions as to what to do to make his life a bit more difficult without any expenditure on my side of things

bide your time, let them think you've forgotten the incident... and then find something twice as expensive as the camera and break it good.......

Put YOUR name on it but your neighbour's house number, so it accidentally gets delivered to them first.

They probably won't bring it around to you, but might make them think.

or the plod turning up to move it

and while i can appreciate they've got better things to be doing with their time than getting grumpy old fucks to park properly, my nights been ruined

sods law that at some time tomorrow i'll be made out to be the villian of the peice and get a bollocking from another stroppy copper but fuck it, the cars staying where it is

the update:

the parking warden came round and put a ticket on my car
then the duty manager came and had some words

our dropped kerb isn't registered
they have taken pictures of the other car
there is a reference number
once the dropped kerb has been registered then they can ticket/tow the offending vehicle
and it can be taken into account the problems and their marked bay may be unmarked in the future

so, it's all good so far
