Do a search for engine flush on here......doesn't exactly have raving reviews lets say.
I'd buy a cheap proper budget oil of the required grade for your engine and run that in it for 1000 miles or so then drain it and refill it again with decent quality oil.

You're only using it for a few miles, less if you want doesn't have to be a thousand, the point being that you use it to get all the shit out of the engine to leave the decent oil a good base to start working upon.

used it in my AX GTi before swapping to VTS power........never again. completely serviced it, filters, plugs, leads, oil.
ran fine no noises out of place before this... used engine flush with the service and then developed noisy tappets, head gasket gone and eventually burning a tonne of oil out the exhaust. took engine out, checked it all, no real damage from caning it as it barely saw 4000rpm at best, then saw reviews and spoke to people about this stuff........never went near it again complete con

As i said, the Oil in this car is black, the lifters are noisey as they are, surely it can't do it that much harm if the Oil is Really black, surely gotta be doing it a favor

just finding my feet
oil flush on a car thats done more than 70k miles and never been done before could cause the engine to burn oil ect as the gunk in the engine will be acting at a seal,,,, clean that and you get issues aswell as people blaming the flush for causing problems
do some research on oil, 1000k miles of cheep semi synthetic wont kill a engine,,,,,,,, and theres no chance you get 45% off castrol at euros as i work there

take the lifters out, tap them quite hard on a workbench or good surface and the center pin will come out with the old shitty oil, clean them up and put the center pin back, fit back into place. run the engine with some nice fresh oil, new filter ect. they will make a racket at 1st but will sort out after a few mins when the oil gets to the lifters.. sorted

why don't you just find oilman o here and ask him
i've always changed the oil fairly regularly, but when i did the cossie i used to wait till it was change time, drop the oil, put some "normal" oil in, run around softly for about a week, then drop it and put the expensive stuff in
back then oil was fairly cheap and you could get away with doing this sort of thing and tipping it into and old container and duping it at the recycling depot, don't know if you can do that now as it's free for me at the local kwik fit

Hello.
I've always used Wynn's motor cleaner on all my cars after I've bought them...Put new filters on them, and a good oil brand, and never had any problems what so ever.
For the 70's cars I always use Castrol GTX3 10w40 and a bottle of 250 ml Wynn's Gold.
On the M3 E30 and the Cossie I always use Castrol TWS Motorsport 10w60, and put no oil adictives.
I change the oil every 7.500 km's, doesn't matter if the oil looks new....or every year, even if the car does less km's than stated before.
For the old cars, to clean and save the valves I use castrol Valve Master Plus.
On the M3 and Cossie I use Bardhal Injector Cleaner every 5.000 km's.
That's about it...
Cheers
Jorge

It´s only to be used ocasionally, I only use it once I buy the cars to clean the engine !
If used frequently in will damage the seals, because it's a agressive product !
You will get the same result on your motor seals, as if you use agressive flushing radiator fluids all the time on your radiator....What a bunch of Idiot Mother F***....

My family use wynns flush on all their cars.
170k mile 1.3 a reg escort still going strong.
250k mile v6 mondeo still went strong.
170k 1.3 g reg estate, still went strong,
whatever mileage that was on my last v6 mondeo when I sold it to dumped, was loads over 100k iirc,
150k mile rsturbo running 195 at the wheels etc etc etc, u get the picture.
They were all perfect, powerful and clean engines.
HOWEVER in the M3 and the evo, I just pay someone to service it as u need to keep the history up and I don't think they flush it and the service intervals are massive compared to what we run on any of our other family cars.
