do you get a form of Paternity pay if your self employed ????cant find a 100% answer?
im self employed and been self employed for 4 years . my girlfriend is due to drop out little baby next week . what ive been trying to find out is am i able to claim any paternity pay ????
ive even looked on the directgov site but i cant find a proper answer. it says i can take leave when i want because im my own boss ?? thats obvious . but i cant read or find anything about can i claim for any money etc ?
does anyone know the true answer and if i can claim then how do i do it ?

Who would pay you?
I'm also self employed and I could not even think about asking who to ask for payment!?
Just like we get no sick pay or holiday pay!
