Christian, Whats the cost difference between the two engines?

Building a 550bhp SR20 and fitting the V8 charged, Does it work out better ŁŁ for bhp?

500 brake from a 2.0 engine will be much harder to get than 600horses from a 6.0 engine

less stress to make 100 bhp/l from forced induction than to make 250 bhp/l mate and it will have a lot more torque throut the rev range as opposed to the smaller engine having an "all or nothing" attitude

I should also imagine the V8 will be a lot more driveable and usable than a very highly tuned 2.0 and have a much more usable power band i.e. torque all the way from idle!!!

Dojj, I'm not thick! I know its easier, But my question was how much difference cost wise!

Buying the V8, fitting it, supercharger/mapping. Compared to building a 2.0ltr with 500 horses.

Deleted reply from earlier, now that Captain Bullshit has been along......

Why don't you spend a little time reading Ken's project thread and see that we have done most of the work on this car for the last 5 years.

http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=214429

The main LS2 kit was from Hinson Supercars, but to say that it needed alteration is an understatement. Also, there is ALOT more involved than an adapted front subframe and some engine mounts. Especially since the yanks dont run Motec M800 on their cars. Can your tiny mind begin to comprehend how you wire M800 to run a modern V8? There are FOUR, yes FOUR Throttle Position sensors for a start and the ECU controls the Alternator too.

Also, who did Ken acknowledge in his thread??

Thanks for the vid and graphs Christian, much appreciated, I see it gained another 20bhp from when we spoke earlier gobsmacked

Yeah, I see lots of other companies in there that were involved.
