Just as I thought things were going great with the car after all the hassle from the past few months, last night some little piece of scum decides "oh, I like that car, I'll try and steal it"

Was around 12:45am when I heard a huge dunt, then my alarm going off, so jumped out of my bed and threw my clothes on. Got out to the car, and the wee f*cker had smashed the small quarter window on my driver's side passenger door!!!!

I was down at the girl's house, and she doesn't have a drive, so I had to leave and take the car home and put it up my drive behind my brother's car. I did the usual "plastic bag repair". Couldn't get to sleep for ages, worried that something else was going to happen.

Noticed this morning that they also burst my driver's side lock

Totally p*ssed off, as it's not just the lock that's burst, the paint is all scratched, and the lock has been pushed in a wee bit.

So, my Cossie brakes that arrived today will have to be put on the back burner now until this is sorted. I'm having the car de-locked now in the hope that it will deter some people from having a go.

Does anyone know if it's definitley possible to get into the car via the boot if my central locking ever stopped working? Never looked or tried myself yet.

Also - anyone got a window for me????

What a shitter, i never had my car broken into, i am pissed off when some dick scuffs my bumper or gives me a parking dent, i dread to think what it would be like to be broken into!

I let my boot open the other night and went in at about 8 and fell asleep thinking i had shut her up and locked her, but i went out there at 12.30am and the boot was wide open with sub, amp, tom tom, road angel etc etc on show and it wasnt touched, i was lucky!

get a flat board of wood bang 10 or so 6inch nails in it
and hide it under a seat cover on the drivers seat.
then mesure ur door handles get a thin piece of bar then tac weld
a couple of stanley blades on it then wedge under ur handle... that will stop the wankers.

Did it happen it buckhind. I've heard its really rough that way now. I used to stay in Mcduff but still have family there so i visit quite often but never venture down buckhind after all the stories i've heard about it.

 

Something i did, if you earth out either of the connections on the old escort/orion cdl motors, it locks/unlocks, i ran the wires into the boot, and tucked them away, if ever the alarm played up etc i could still open the door. In the case of a flat battery, ive herd of people running a live from the battery and zip tieing it under the arch liner, you can then simply put a booster pack to it to get it open, or battery to boot conversion!! HTH.
