since when has the rs been about pretty coloured shopping cars that your mrs would drive?
its all gone wrong somewhere.
i can say, if ford had made the car we all wanted, i would have been awaiting one...but as it is, im laughing at those people who are waiting

the 1.6 fiesta drives well....rs?
to me a true rs is about the car being raw, not easy to drive and pretty
ford are making this car for joe public, not the enthusiast imo, because they need to sell too many to survive.
thats why, imo we will never see a true rs again, rs died when the esc cos was stopped i reckon

im not saying its a bad car, but i really think it should be an st.
its a sad sad fact ford just havent got what i want anymore, i love the rs brand with passion, but unless you want to drive a 15 year old car, you have no chance imo
the new ones just dont have it
im sure plenty will disagree with me, but when i came to buy a newer car, i didnt give ford a second thought.

Thing is its all very well ford claiming it was better as FWD than the 4WD mule they tested, but they forgot to tell you they used a pathetic gay part time 4wd system which most of the time is just dead wieght!!! Had they fitted a proper sorted balanced 4wd system (with suspension, track etc optimised for 4wd) then im sure it would be better than the car were ending up with.

when the mk1 FRS came out people moaned about it, some still are now, its still a great car, it will never be to 'cosworth' standards but it also won't spend most of its life in the garage broken

How can people slate the car just for being FWD and assume it's shit as it's not 4wd or RWD? The reviews on the car so far have been extremely positive and it's supposed to be very lively.

how can you all sit on here and judge this car before you have driven one
and how can nearly all the car mags rate this car so highly if its a FWD piece of crap, i know one thing if i had the money i would deffo be getting one, and yeah im not jealous (much) at those who are getting one but that DOES NOT make me come on here and say it should be 4wd or rwd and ford have missed there market from a few keyboard warriors on Passionford.
Time to move on with the times people, this will be a great car belive me

quite funny really,people who buy and talk about non fords on here get slated from the "passionate" ford people who appear to be ford blinkered.

I really cant get excited about the new RS i'm afraid, maybe because i work for ford and new cars really bore me to tears, maybe i'll feel differently when i've seen one in the flesh or been in one, but i prefer the look of the original FRS tbh, looks a lot rawer to me.
Also, the wheels are a let down to me, they dont seem to fill the arches that well.

i think the problem is there is clearly still a very big 4x4 sportscar market ie scoobies and evos and ford have just given this a wide birth. when i grew up it was all cosworths as the road going supercars that you could buy from the forecourt and from what people are saying on here the public want ford to come back and compeat again and this would of been awesome as 4x4 . still no doubt it will be very good but they should had offered both options

I like it, but i know what people are saying about the rawness of the focus rs( mk1 ). Even still though, im also one who doesnt know how you can slate a car until driven it, but thats my personal opinion.
