going back to work from lunch break,mr plody(s)x4 in a meat wagon decide to follow me,edgin in and out so they can still spot me, got to roundbout and they are right behind me so i thought i'd wait for a nice tight gap and go,nd i did just that as i looked in rear view mirror see the lights go on so they could still see me followed me 4 approx 1 mile took the turning in to my work's road blue lights on so i pull over,3 get out,i wait till they come up 2 me

is it your car,how long you owned it etc all the same shit,anyways says do u know why we stopped you no i say your car is registered in a females name,so i say jokinly yer im a pre op can't u tell the copper looks at me strangely for a second then i say only jokin any way he syas don't muck us about so i say well do i look female,cut a long story short they only wanted a excuse to pull me went round my car and tried to find something but couldn't so instead got a 7 day wonder

Similar thing just happened to me.
I have just changed my reg number and the local plod spotted this as they are used to my old number.
Rather than check if it was legit, they stopped me in a busy place and THEN radioed in and asked.
This caused big traffic delays for everyone else.
It took 20 minutes for a reply from the HQ as their computer system was down.

Then they checked out the car and searched the boot, and then gave me a breath test !!!!!
I had NOT been drinking at all !!!

Had all my documents with me so they let me go. Not even an appology !

Go chase the mother f**kers who broke into my garage and pinched my
engine 2 years ago.
How long did it take them to send someone round then ...... 46 hours !!!

 

best bet is just being polite in those situations!

least they didnt do you for anything - i know some get the hump easily if you are a bit short with them!

no only been pulled once in the cossy that was 4 fog lites even though it was foggy didnt even get a producer must be lucky 4 a change

 

I have never been pulled by the police in my escort cos, I was only pulled 3 times in six years of owning a saph cos, I must have a legit look about me !!
I remember a few years ago in my saph on my home from work in a rush doing about 130 when I saw the dreaded lights behind me slowed to about 100 and the bloody traffic car overtook me and fooked off into the distance!!!
I put the lottery on that week...and won fook all!!!

Every time I got pulled in the RS they were always really nice about it then looked round the car telling me how nice it was. They arent all bad you know.

very true i have very little time for ppl nowa days, when ever i sell stuff i get time wasters etc or just generally ppl and mates.

got pulled one in my sII a sargent saying he used to be in the stolen car lot says he can tell a ringer/ copy etc .. so goes about trying to find something .. i got chattin to the nice female copper .. he's under the bonnet .. comes up with rather dirty oily hands ...and says yeah its a real one .. write him out a horti and goes to the boot of his car to clean his oil crudded hands me and emale officer look at ech other with huge grins ... this was at 4:45 am .. on a bloody dual carriageway .. even tho he could of stopped me on a nice minor road that had a layby muppets

Ive only EVER been pulled outside of Cheltenham once in my life (tho hardly ever drive IN cheltenham in a modded car) and that was for doing about 80 in a 50mph roadworks on the M5.
Even tho i drive like a mental case, used to drive up to Worcester way JUST to cause trouble with our mental driving, but the police never did owt...

But in Cheltenham, honest to god i cant drive for 1 hour without a pull in any modded car, no matter how sensible im being.

Most times itl be within 20mins.

Im not sure why, i think there must be WANTED posters of me in cheltenham nick

 

i never got pulled in my series2 and not yet in my M3 but my old golf gti 16valve i got pulled six times in two weeks, 3 times by the same copper all of em said you were doing more than 30 , and i asked them how fast was i going when you shot up behind me , 30mph i felt like saying well fook off then, i ended up giving in three producers at a time

 

Personally, I dont mind getting tugged, so long as they aint trying to nick me for summat... I mean plod round here prob know my car/plate, but also prob my face... if it had different plates or a shifty looking driver, ie not me lol, I'd be happy for them to try and stop it to check... thats what I pay taxes for...

Unfortunatly though, on each occasion I have been pulled in the ECos (twice).. I HAVE been nicked both times by traffic, both times on an M road...

 

Only time I got pulled some one phoned the police and told them to pull me because I was driving like a mad man but that wasnt true
