how lucky am I?
While on the way to the PF meet lastnight on the M25 in the fastlane I planted my foot to catch Ginge up my car developed a rather nasty missfire.
Pulled over on the hard shoulder to have a gander at what has gone wrong with scot (Switch)
We checked the usual bits but couldn't find anything wrong. Scot then reved the engine using the thottle linkage. Anyway, he reved past 3 grand and as i have an alarm that locks the doors when driving the doors locked with the keys inside Thank fook the boot stayed unlocked
Well we limped the car 10 miles back to Scots gaff and whipped the plugs out and one was a tad fooked
Feeling a bit sick at the thought of engine rebuild scot put the plugs out of his cos into mine. Turned the key and The engine idled fine and drove like normal. Drove the car to the PF meet and the oil pressure was fine, didn't use any water and the car didn't smoke
Have I been lucky or what
Thats the last time I buy a set of NGK's for my car

That is caused by DET/High cylinder temps - You have been VERY lucky....
You could have melted a piston or two !
Could be caused by wrong plugs or lean mixtures or both !!!
My advice turn the boost down until you get the car checked properly by a tuner !!!!!

it was boosting a tad high. Had a leak in the pipe to the boost guage. I though I was boosting at 15psi. Turns out to be 20 psi
That has been turned down now
