Taxed my sapph cossie last november there for 12 months then had a wee engine problem so decided to take it off the road a bit while i gather up the money for a rebuild. picked up the refund and sorn form from post office, filled them in and sent them away mid february. Got a letter back from DVLA saying SORN rejected due to me not being the registered keeper, despite the fact i am and have been for the last 5 years. Spoke to them on the phone and they said letter must have been sent in error as every detail i gave them tallied up to whats on their database. "Dont Worry Sir We'll Sort It."

Got another letter this morning saying my refund is rejected because i either not the current or previous registered keeper or i havent declared the car SORN! WTF!!!!!

Anybody else had any of these sort of problems with them?

maybe best just in to the main office in glasgow mate and get them to deal with it there and then as the more times they send it back the less you,ll get refunded as the weeks / months go on .

apparently i don't have a driving license and i can't mot the mondeo because some klutz put a G in the chassis number instead of a 6 and a 2 in there instead of a Z

never had a problem with them.everything ive had to do has been done with no fuss.

a would still go in to the local office and take it from there at least that way you,ll get an answer face to face rather than dealing with someone at the other end of the phone
