Stu, do you have and RR graphs or anything on the 330D before and after?
Mate can do it for half the price of you, but you're a legend, and map will no doubt be best available.
How can mpg be improved, when bmw etc spend billions on this?

so is there a specific "better" 330 or 530 to go for?ie any major internal changes due to faults etc?

Ask your mate that's doing them for half price, or is he looking for a sales pitch?

If your going for E46 type. Try and go for late 2003 model, as this was 204bhp not 184bhp

You also get the six speed gearbox with the later version. I've got a 320d and always wish i'd bought the 330. Not only is the power delivery so different but the 330 is so much more refined.

Not sure what you mean?
Did my passat for £175, goes well now; just whatever's out there Stu's are bound to be the best available.

330's got to watch those inlet flap things, 184 manual don't have them, all others do I believe.
Would like to know a mod or fix for this...
