Default rev counter adjustment mk6 running fez tub mgnt

Just got me GTi restarted after the engine build where i replaced the original management with fez turbo OFAB gear,

but... the rev counter seems to be running at 1/2 ie showing 600rpm but idling at more like 1200

ive heard there is a fix for a mfi to cossie jus woindered if the same thing may apply for this application or whether anyone knows better?

cheers in advance

On the mk4 escorts cb there are a number of different rev counters that fit different types of ignition. The late XR3i's were EFI so I think you just had to use the rev counter from one of them.

Are there any mk6 escorts that use different types of ignition?

perhaps one that has a HCS engine then? They are generally DIS ignition which might do the trick.

that would do the trick. Im no rev counter expert but perhaps there is a resistor u can change in the clocks that will have the same effect?

nope nope nope

fiesta tbos use wasted spark ignition so you will need a fiesta turbo or as essex boy says a mk4 efi rev counter.

a zetec one wont work if yours isnt working now
