Default **Which car for 12K evo,scooby,rx7?

As i will be starting my job after xmas i want to upgrage to something with a bit more power and i can finally get insurance since i will be 21(at a price though). I am stuck on which to get or to look into getting, i have only been in a scooby out of the above so not sure on exactly what i want yet:
scooby- Quite easy to find a good one would like a tuned uk one if possible. Look good and 4x4. Expensive to service?
Evo- would have though same as scooby but have neard that they are very expensive to maintain. Would have to get an 5 for my money and have read they they dont have very good engines compared to the 6.
rx7- Love them but last choice. Aren't they supposed to be unrealiable as well as have an engine rebuild every 40k? Could probably get a very good import for 12k 400bhp+ . Any thoughts or opions on these?

TBH couldn't get a decent skyline or supra for that money plus a 3litre tt would be way to expensive to maintain. I would love the rx7 i think just scared if something goes wrong i'll be bankrupt. Another thing is i would have to be careful with the rx7 better get some practice going from fwd to rwd .

RX7s are the cheapest performane engine to get a rebuild for by a long way, so dont worry about that too much.

A Supras no more expensive to maintain than the other cars either.

And 12k will get you a decent R32GTR or SupraTT

how about a bmw m3 you could get an evo for 9k and have 3k in your back pocket and they are cheap to run and not expensive to maintain especially if you take it to a specialist ( p.s i am a little biased)

If you want 4wd then Evo, RWD then RX-7! I looked into the RX-7 a while back, and they seem a good prospect for a reliable day-to-day car. The rotor tips do not always wear out at 40k, some people say 60k, others longer still. But even when they do go, you can get a full engine rebuild for 2k upwards.

The one to get is the Type RZ, they have Bilstein suspension, twin oil coolers, carbon kevlar Sparco seats, strut braces, uprated brakes, BBS alloys, tighter LSD and more power (276bhp) as standard. There are a hell of a lot of models to choose from, starting from around 240bhp upwards. The one problem with them is that they get poor fuel economy and use a lot of oil as standard.

But there are limitations to a high power rear wheel drive car, especially in the wet! Remember that!

Could do a lot worse than a pulsar actually mad little things

any of the above accept the scooby really

If you really want to spend that much and not get a pulsar which is obviously half the price, I would go for an RX-7. simply awesome

Evo for that money mate (bias! ). The 5 and 6 engines are virtually the same bar injector size (apparantly??).

You can get a 6 for that money now. Theres even one on the MLR for £9995 at the moment!!!

The EVO 5 is identical to the 6 bar a few cometic changes apparently.

EVO 6 go for around 13k plus....the one on MLR forum for 10k has no proper service history in the way its been serviced every 20000miles PLUS needs paintwork due to dodgy respray!!!!...A good price but then another respry proper is what 2k?Plus at 54000 miles with not good servicing how long will it last?

Dont fancy an ecoss because they are a bit to expensive to buy also not alot of out the box power and dosent have the technology compaed to the rest of the cars. Other than the scoob being common why dosent anyone like them?

well out of the three i would go for the RX7,mainly because its RWD and i love that, and you will find you loose too much power with 4WD, so RX7 mate.
buti would buy a supra much better!!!!!!
