I have a problem changing from 1st to 2nd gear.
If I change normal (lets say max revs about 5000 but not WOT) from 1st to 2nd then no problem but if I try to change with wot (to the rev limit allmost) then the 1st gear doesn't disangage until the revs drop to about 5000 so I 'm waiting maybe 2-3 seconds to change gear!!!
I know that the synchros are Ok (no problem even in the hardest downshift also from 2nd to 1st) and the clutch (AP organic) is working Ok so why this happens? All other ratios are changing fine...
Anyone had same problem before?

I thought that was synchros so about 5 months ago (when 3rd broke again...) I replaced all the synchros and also the oil (from Ford) and it was the same again - no difference at all.
Also the gear lever doesn't go to neutral at 7000rpm but only at full throttle, if I reach rev limit with half throttle it changing fine...

wrong oil mate
they are very difficult to change when giving it bootfulls as you can easily change faster than the box will allow, but too thick and oil can also cause it
you need to put the correct spec ford oil in it, from the list of oils originally used, not what ford have said it needs now

I used the correct specification oil (from the car instruction manual I found the specific ford code) so I think that it isn't the oil... I have driven 2 other cosworths 4x4 and they were changing quite faster than mine from 1st to 2nd... I don't know maybe the clutch "bites" just a bit and doesn't allow it to slow down for changing? I don't know what else to think...
