Is this playing back a recorded/paused program or just general viewing...are you using sky +?

Full reset:

1. Press Services
2. Press 4
3. Press 01 then Select
4. Press 8 (Housekeeping)

Once thats done, pop your card out and give it a clean, turn it off then back on again and see how you get on.

I normally just turn mine off at the wall when its froze/stuck, then put it back on after 20seconds, wait a minute for it to come back on and find channels and its normally sorted

You can also try this if it starts to happen again.

Switch off at the wall, leave off for 2 mins, switch back on at the wall but keep the backup button pressed down on your sky box for 10 secs or until a message appears on your TV screen. It should do a system reset and return to normal in 10mins

Thats what we always do

Turning it off at the wall and waiting for 20-30seconds, then turning back on achieves the same thing, well it does for me.

Do you keep the backup button pressed down too? I don't get the message on the screen by just switching the box off and back on at the wall

No message.

Im just saying if my sky box ever freezes or plays up, i unplug it for 20seconds, plug it back in, wait for a few mins for it to sort its self out again and find channels then its fixed.

Ive never had to go any further than doing that
