Excellent stuff - Didn't even notice any drop in service

Altho to be fair, at the stated downtime, I was somewhere between Leeds and Skipton doing 90mph

Reliability is what matters. If the US is where it's reliable that's fine and dandy

Very nice bit of kit and not on the cheap side of things hosting wise. Im assuming 64bit Linux as well, do you know what distribution.

Im assuming all Internet Brands sites run on this, how many are there?

i noticed it wasn't logging on last night
and it was not logging on this earlier this morning either

but, as has been pointed out, at least we were kept informed as to why it may have been a bit difficult to access during these past few days so it's all good

You obviously have more knowedge about these things than me but as far as I recall she runs in a load distributed system to ensure repeatable stable performance.

God no, they have lots of servers mate!
To give you an idea of their web serving power, take a look at the website. http://www.internetbrands.com/ib

Well done on the move. Having worked in IT I've been at the sharp end of 'revolting' users, so glad the move went well, and from experiance as you say next few days/week could be interesting.

Congratulations and thanks to all involved, sure alot time and effort was involved.

Yeah, i am pleased with performance so far, but lets wait a few days until she has settled and the loads are up. I'm sure she will be just fine, the lag i was talking about is there and its been measured as a little slower, but thats here nor there really as Long as the content is served quickly.

It's not load balanced if it's only one webserver. No redundancy?
I'm very very suprised they aren't running this from a blade, especially considering their client base.

Would be interesting purely out of nosyness to see how the big hosters run things Stu
Still amazed they are running two PE1950's rather than a blade though!
