You know what, I'd be well up for this after stripping the car of a lot of weight. Probably share the same opinion as gaylord Luke, but its all fun and games and actually enters a Ford....something not seen for a while at this event

As for the petty arguments, people come on, don't be so ignorant! You're suppose to be on the same team with the basic goal of bringing back trophies so you can rub into the faces of Jap drivers. Personally, I doubt much could take Harvey's car on from the starting line and around the corners...but I'm not saying there aren't And Rod's car I pressume is for balls out MPH.

Everyone has their area of expertise, so show respect to each other. And please, if you have no clue about what your on about, don't bother jumping on the band wagon, just fuels a pointless fire.

So seriously Rod you really think Kev would dust Harveys car

I wouldn't be that cocky about it being that it is basically a massive power World car

I'm not saying Harvey would win but you do clearly underestimate it if you think the Evo would waste it, its a race I'd actually like to see and being how long you've been on this planet I'm sure your aware of the difference between the usual track spec Cosworths and what he has.

With a touch more power Harveys car would probably run a 9 using that gearing, his top speed is enough for just about any track as well so IF he chose to it could probably out perform a lot of stuff.

Back on topic anyway, that Fiesta is RAPID, what width rubber is it running ?

I'm quite sure it will do it Jim

Obviously as it can't carry on and do 200mph its frowned upon by all the Madettes, I think the true fact is that its a great package, wether its banter or not it clearly shows that a few people on here really aren't Ford enthusiasts.

I think ofcourse the other issue is they have a dislike towards your old man which I personally know nothing about but I do smell a bit jealousy when he rolls up in a car he put together and smashes all the Escort acceleration times except top speed, then breaks it, doesn't go on about it for a year on PF, gets it back out and gives it even more death.

It is EXACTLY the sort of thing the Ford team needs at TOTB but as there is so little fucking support for anyone why on earth should he even get out of bed for it.

Sad days really but atleast he does use it for enjoyment rather than harp on about great it will potentially be

AGREED!

SOoooo! much negative support on this site, it ends up pushing people away who actually COULD, if directed + supported, have a very good chance.

How about some team spirit this year for once and put the CAMP rivalry to bed for once.

Best of luck, i imagine Lewis will experience some difficulty adapting to 17,000rpm gearshifts in it...

On a serious note - should we start putting together a list of entrants? Maybe FastFord would like to stage something at brunters and get some times - would make a nice article i imagine?

neil has expressed a interest in entering his fiesta,so maybe fast ford could sponsor us a bit, especially as its redline totb, part of the future mag company.

With all due respect mate, that's the sort of attitude that has meant fords haven't been represented at this event since the very early TOTBs.

I've said that i'd be up for entering, so has Luke, Alan and a few others - the chances of actually winning any silverware that day in reality are slim.

However, rather than sitting back and moaning on forums that TOTB is shit because there weren't any fords there - i'm prepared to throw a few hundred quid at my car for the day - get out there and have some fun.

Even if we don't win a single thing, it'll be a good day playing out, some banter, a few beers and a barbecue the night before - will put some fun and enjoyment back into the scene!

totally agree with ya i was not trying to be negative as i put would be nice to see some fords there i was just under the impressin that from the last couple off years unless you could run 10's in a 4x4 then you would not make the team however the more the better as far as i am concerned and lookforward to seein your car there

Good man Will, although I'll be up there with the Vauxhall team I'll be dead pleased to see something else non jap taking part.

If all goes to plan and it all happens - pop over for a beer the night before

As some of you will know (Diva mainly as I used his wifes' gravy sieve on the car), I spannered for RC Developments at TOTB 2007 when we ran the 1100kg, 800+bhp Evo 6 - doing 9.7s @ 145mph and we still only came second with that and even then it was by default So, two years later no doubt the winning quarters will be very low 9s if not 8s.

However, the FWD class still seems to hold some character as the 'big boys' are all playing in AWD and RWD classes

I'd personally just be happy to be a part of it and have some fun - everything seems far too serious at the moment!

Hell yeah I'm up for it. Ford used to be the biggest part of this contest, let's keep the momentum going, even if we don't win anything. Winning not everything, not when you have company test cars with van loads of spare parts backing them up

yes drop me a pm,and i will help as much as i can.

entry forms can be downloaded from the totb web site at the beginning of march, entry cost is 100 pounds per car,and includes 2 entry tickets.
the sooner we sort out a team ,the more chance we have of getting extra spaces.
cars must be road legal,tax/mot/insured on the day.

Typical negative gayness!!!

Well done Lloyd for trying.

For a FORD site full of claimed FORD fans, you are unreal when it comes to TOTB.

oooohh, booo hooo! I won't win! SO FUCKIN' WHAT??

You won't go home with a wanky £5 tin cup, BUT i'm sure as fuck you will learn something about yourself, your car and have a proper laugh!!

I have always missed out, this year it is a proirity for me.

I KNOW i will be slow on the top speed and average on the quarter mile. I just wanna crack at the handling circuit and have a blast in my car.

Why do people get so so hung up on "winning". Sure, its a sweet feeling. But i don't spend every penny i have on my cars for tin cups, forum bummers and shitty pub boasts. I do it for the adrenaline rush of thrashing my car.

If you don't like TOTB, fair enough. But seriously now, why knock those that do???

Mate, i am trying to push it on, if it runs, hell yes!!

It is behind schedual for reasons beyond my control but it should be running within 3 weeks. Then its gonna need a few things and a good shake down at a trackday or two.

Will try and gas it for a bit of help as i won't be running silly silly power, but if it drives, it's there.

OOOOR. I could mince about on car parks and have loads of "races" on the road....eeeeeee, just think how big my internet cock would be then! haha!

Regarding TOTB, yeah i want in. If i come home with a 129mph top end and 16 second quarter, i wont cry, i'd take it on the chin as a learning curve and try and improve. I wouldnt develop some gay complex about oooh, i cant beat that Nova or Civic.

I KNOW i will enjoy it massivley, i do every time i take any car to the redline, only the risks of killing a pedestrian are non exsistant and the cops can't touch you for it!!

If the Turbo is running, it's there!!

Neil - would you be interested in running a TOTB 'qualifying' at Brunters for a Ford Team?

I remember Max Power did one for TOTB 2 or 3 - Marco, Spadge, Martoon, Bruce Read etc. etc. were all in it - made a great read
