antilag is fine,iam unsure of the current noise regs,but i think i can get cars passed up to 114db,providing they are 10 seconds on the 1/4.

To be honest theres no point in doing a top speed run in Fiesta as we found out that it only does 112mph when we were in Performance Ford. (though thats still quick enough to get in the top 5 of beat the ST)
No idea how it would do on the 1/4 though. Probably quick off the mark (anti lag & launch controll helps).
Could probably put in a good show on the handling even though its a gravel car & has no anti roll bars.

Can somebody confirm the price? If you enter 5 car's as a team say, would it be 500 for the team, or 500 plus the 175? Etc.
Also, whats the score with the noise limit, i didn't understand it at all last year. 50% of the car's have screamer pipes, so a static rev test at 4500rpm's is pointless IMO. A complete waste of time on an event where time is the biggest problem IMO.

the cost is 100 pounds per car,unless you are a tuner entry.

The solution is NOT to use a mk3/4 escort. Put Tim or Oli's engine in a mk1/2 fiesta, instant 11sec qtr mile car!
I even ran a 12 sec qtr in a X-flow powered mk1 fiesta over ten years ago with only 170bhp. Try running a 12sec qtr in a mk3/4 escort with anything less than 250bhp!

Be very keen to see what you run on your Fiesta now. I was under the imprsssion mk1s dont launch/handle as well as mk2s. Chris Todd only managed 12s on Hoosiers I beleive?
Iam only so interested as I am about to buy a mk1 to put my ST170 Turbo engine and MTX box in

Well i will have mine back out in mrch fingers crossed.. get abit of practice in and afew runs at pod too see what times i can pull..
As someone said i just run mine for fun and get some experience and if i decide to take part least i can say i gave it a crack even if i did crap. lol
There will always be someone who has a faster car than you but if someone beats me then they get the big thumbs up... Mines still a quick car for what it is and thats all what matters to me...

Suppose it depends how quick it hits the limiter. From the times I've driven it I reckon pretty quick. lol
Anyway doubt we will make it as we are busy at the moment building a track Escort, and then rebuilding my Dads 500bhp Saph (thanks to EA's sterling work).

you miss the point, road cars competing in events like this seem to be coming closer and closer to outright race cars, not fast road cars, an easy ruling like full interior must be present would make a good rule, just like removing all driver aids from f1 would make it better to watch but people who make rules make toss rules!
