The 4wd one has a number of block connectors in it and is in about 3/4 pieces
Where as the 2wd one is a single piece with no joins at all!

Dont forget, electrically, the 4x4 loom Throttle posistion connector is wired different .
Also, there may also be extra connectors for a lambda and knock sensors.

Will the saph 4x4 engine loom connect up to a 93' XR4x4 car loom, as this would save me ripping out and replacing the car loom for my 2wd saph loom

The looms will go on any car as they dont need anything from the original loom to run.

it won't plug in directly, as the connectors are different.

i've used a 2wd engine loom into a cos 4x4 vehicle loom before.

it should easily be possible. you will just have to do a bit of soldering. i have the information somewhere on what wires are what that you need to connect up. for example, green is rev counter, one is for temp sender, one for oil pressure, etc. will see if i can find it, although i have to leave in a few mintes so can't promise it.

Power (Main line via fuse link) Red/Blue
Trigger live (+2 on ignition) Black
Fuel pump - Red/Black
Coil/Tacho - Green
Oil pressure - brown/green?
Water Temp - Brown/green?

Oil pressure and water temp could be wrong way round but you will soon find out if it is.

HTH

Jano

the 4x4 engine loom does not have the oil pressure included, it is in the vehicle loom.
