800bhp, hmm, yea hard to answer.

Paying a skyline tuner in this country, umm, an absolute fortune, you can bank on 30k+ i bet, not including any transmission etc you want to go with it, they charge a fortune and use overpriced jap branded bits for everything when they crap half the time.

If it was USA/OZ/NZ itd be a lot lot less tho as they dont charge ripoff pricves as their customers know better, and they use the best bits, not just whatever bits have a pretty HKS etc badge on.
Lot less than to get a cossie tuner to get you 700bhp from a YB in the UK anyhow id say.

cheers steve..

i guess you dont know how much you've spent on yours yet, and what power you're going for?

also, isnt 800bhp just about the limit for the std trans, or does it need to be uprated at that point?

i know what ive spent, i know roughly whats left to spend (inc mapping etc), and i know roughly what power i think il have, but im damned if im saying any of that till its done and i can be sure

theres 1000bhp+cars with std boxes n diffs in Japan, Rocket Ronnie won TOTB1 with std box n diffs (10.6 was best 1/4 i think, and did 20+launches), they good, but its like any car, hard launches etc kills em, so depends how you drive, and a bit of luck, bloke whos doing my car (whos done lots of 10.1s on std transmission) said its just 3rd gear that breaks, he launches off the limiter, does 1.45 60fts, uses nitrous, no problem, but he said its mainly how brutal the power comes in which breaks 3rd so gotta be a lil bit more careful in that gear.

low 10s and 9s have been done on std boxes tho, and not that many people change the diffs as they rarely break.

Id like an uprated box but cant afford one yet to il see how long std one lasts with me....

Not looked at this for ages but i think im 99% right...

Standard performance---------

All RWD barring GTRs and GTST4s (both active 4wd).

R32 basemodel shed- 2litre, 130bhp, and shit slow.
R32GTS- 2litre, 165bhp, and not quick.
R32GTST/GTST4- 2litre turbo, 210bhp, std cossie quick (and 4wd in the GTST4)
R32GTR- 2.6 turbo, 280bhp, lap of Nurburgring in 8mins 22sec (facto), 60 in late 4s, and 160mph+ top end.

R33 basemodel shed- 2litre, 130bhp, and shit low
R33 GTS- 2.5litre, 190bhp, and not quick.
R33GTST- 2.5turbo, 250bhp, roughly cossie performance, 60 in 6, 150mph.
R33GTR- 2.6 turbo, 280bhp, was the fastest standard production car ever round Nurburgring for a while with 7min59secs, other performance is about the same as R32 but feels slower as much bigger.

R34 basemodel shed- 2litre, 130bhp, and shit low
R34GTV- 2.5litre, 190bhp, slow.
R34GTT- 2.5turbo 250bhp
R34GTR- 2.6 turbo, 280bhp (allegedly, more like 300+), bit quicker than a std R32GTR, jus loads heavier.

Think thas all of it
