Some twat has parked in front of my garage doors and I need my car to pick the little un up. I have knocked on the doors of houses close by and know one knows whos it is. I dont thinks it's a stolen and abandended car as it's a 57 plate Golf which looks imaculate. What can I do? It has been there for hours now and bar smashing the window to release the hand break im stuck.

Any ideas guys

 

Give it a good rock and see if the alarm goes off?! Someone may come running..... other than that, legally, I don't think there's much you can do.

 

Have you got a trolley jack you can try dragging it out the way?
But to be honest, smashing the window is probably the best way and will teach them a lesson!

i phoned the police, they said they cnt do anything. i contemplated smashing a window, but then noticed a door unlocked. so i rolled the car out the way n went on my way....


.....then got home to be greeted by the police, who wanted to question me in relation to what was considered breaking and entering as i did not have the owners permission

so if u do move it, be prepared for the police to wana hang u for it lol

 

Yup alarm goes of pretty easily and no one has turned up. I cant get a trolly jack under the front of the car proplerly due to a sunken manhole cover. Iv had to get my mum to drive 30 miles across town so she can pick the nipper up all because of this twat. Making my blood fucking boil

I know you need the car out, but seriously would hang around and have a word with the culprit.

I know when I have caught people trying to park in front of my drive.... (usually for a funeral at the local church) stern, straight to the point words have always worked. I have heard it all.... "only gonna be 10 mins, etc" but the fact of it is, with a kid in the house, if I needed to get out in a hurry...... they are told that if they leave their car their.... mine will move it out of the way on the way off mi drive..... no one's ever left their car after hearing that....

Someone in front of me driving down the road tried parking in front of my drive the other week... I was in our Pajero.... I pulled up at the back of him indicating and braying my horn.... he soon moved.....

 

Jack the front up and put it on a pair of axle stands. I am sure the owner will soon be knocking on your door! Then lay the cunt out.

 

Yeah, surely jack the back wheels up off the ground and push the fucker back, assuming it's not left in gear.

 

The vehicle is causing an obstruction. Call the police and tell them that. They will get the vehicle towed away and the owner will have to pay for it. That'll teach him!

 

There is some strange law thou that they can't block your access if your cars not there but if your there then they can block your access.

Re jacking the front up, quickly drain the oil, replace sump nut and lower car. Make a brew and wait! It's Friday lol

 

someone once told me that if you can't get back into your drive then there's nothing can be done, but if you can't get out then the car can be towed.

Not sure who enforces this tho or if it's even accurate. Somebody might know...

if you can get to any hose push a pin into the fooker then pull it out do this in a few place's it will only leak when hot. do it to the bottom of the hose it will gather there and they will think it has run down the pipe lol, i had this and it's a fooker to find the car won't use a lot of water but will need toping up every day causing loads of grief

i heard it was a 70quid(120 in london) fine for blocking someone in,parking infront of a dropped kerb,but as geoffxr4 as all ready said if they block you in then you can get it towed away

i hate idots like this my sister came home from picking up her nipper and there was sumone parked on her drive with a baby in the back seat! so she waited for 5 mins then some african lady strolls out a house up the road then piss off. Then a week later shes parked there again so her fella told her if she parks it there again hes gonna get it scrapped shes starts having a go at him telling you cant do that!!! he said park it there again and find out. shes never park there again. i would let the tyres down they wont think about parking there again or a nice big tub of gearbox oil.

i get it all the time twats parking over my drive i once missed a days work because i was blocked in i have no end of rows with stupid people i feel like buying a wheel clamp puting a sighn up and charge them a release fee

 

as already stated u can have the car legally towed if they are blocking your exit of your garage/drive but nothing can be done if they are blocking you from parking in your garage/drive, i get people parking infront of my garage quite often and the best way to deal with it is to wait till they return and get in there car and just as they have shut the door run out and bang on the window ranting and raving at them, they shit themselves and it releases your built up anger

I have clamped the fucker and left a mobile number attached to the windscreen, once we get a call they can wait a few hours. Unless they ring the police because im not to sure what i did was legal

Where did you get the wheel clamp? this kind of shit boils my blood used to happen all the time when i stayed at my mums.It was the same person who did it all the time would you beleive after about 20 times of asking not to do it it was still happening.Someone ended up kicking the mirror off the car

 

go put a sign up ont he garage soaying no parking will be clamped etc

 

Brother in law has one in his works van for some reason, not sure why a mobil mechanic would need one but it has come in very handy lol

this happened to me once,lucky i was in my wagon going home to clean it so i chained car to wagon and dragged the bastard down the road,that taught the twat

 

Get some black tape and change some of the letters on there number plates then phone the police tell them there is a dodgey car sat outside your place when they check the plates he or she is in the shit, then watch it get towed and jobs a goodun.
