Well done IMO, although you're probably 'in the wrong' in our fooked up country.

What the fook is up with some people? I wouldn't dream of parking in front of someones drive/garage etc.

My neighbours mate puts his car over the end of my driveway sometimes, pisses me right off. I came home from work the other day and found a van on my fookin drive! I went round the houses and found the owner who then moved it onto someone elses driveway (nothing to do with the house he was working in) I told the mrs about it later and she said it was there when she came home and she had to park over the road and cart the baby and shopping accross...grrr, twats

As far as I'm aware, as long as you don't charge for the release, it's no problem.

i know someone who had just a little problem with inconsiderate parkers, so you know them doggy poo bags ??? a few of them emptied and smeared over the door handles on both sides and the windscreen, roof, and air vents stopped it happening again, funny that.

Have you phoned the Police? They may have the registered keepers telephone number on one of the systems. I do it a lot and get people to move their cars. Drives me mad, just inconsiderate.

You won't be in a fit (legal) state for a while to drive ALL the way to your garage to release it then?

This happened (sort of) round my way.

some idiot parked across my neighbours driveway on a sat night,

so come 730 sunday morning, the whole street was awoken by the sound of my neighbour simply holding his hand on the van horn wanting to get out

the prick who parked his car blocking the drive was soon scurrying out of some slags house to move it

Kamike, just a friendly warning matey.. If you have clamped the car and it sort of kicks off a bit and Police get involved...then they may look at it as you causing criminal damage to the motor. Criminal damage doesnt actually have to cause damage, rendering something unusuable falls within the offence.

I know its a liberty someone has parked and blocked your garage, but I would hate for you to come out as the villain in all of this.

are you allowed to clamp on public highway? i wouldnt expect so. i would have smashed the window and let the handbrake off and let it roll away. no witnesses and theres no problem.

Echoing what Metpol said - I'd definitely go and take the clamp off. Stick a properly angry letter on the windscreen, but don't do anything that could land you in trouble.
