Can any one tell me the differance between a group A fuel pump and standard one? running my saff on greens and maybe changing to blues

I think the standard ones are good for 400 horsed AFAIK. Has to be in new condition though not one sat on the car for years

So you would be nearing your limts.

The 044 group A pump will flow more fuel mate keeping the fuel pressure and delivery constant at high boost/revs so it dont go lean on ya and melt a piston !!....

Its to do with the amount of fuel the pump flows, i beleve a standard one is ok for blues but best to be safe and spend 170 odd quid to gain a grp a 044 item.

As above, it flows more but it is then limited by the regulator so you'd also be better off uprating the pressure regulator too

reason i bought one was the built in pre-filter which a standard pump doesn't have, shagged a couple of standard pumps due to debris in the vane (no in tank filter on one of my cars)....

May well be fine .... but its about 15 years old by now, and you will be hitting it with greater pressures all of a sudden. Small things are often overlooked until your tuner gets it and stuff like this starts to fail quite quickly once pushed I believe, then it costs double

£170 Try me!!!!

NUTS.....sorry you DO NOT need to touch the fuel pressure regulator!!!!At around 380bhp the std pump begins to major struggle meaning melt down!

The std pump is good for up to 380bhp...the 044 to around 550bhp.

the grpa fuel pump is good for getting a lot more fuel up to the fuel rail. Its doesnt however mean that your fuel regulator can handle the extra fuel that is being thrown at it.
