mondeo diesel wont start

Default mondeo diesel wont start

51 plate 2l tdi diesel got in went to start just turned over so my bro jump started it fired up first go i went out in car came back turned off tried it wont start and now not evan turning over just the tick of starter moter can be herd iv tested batterie thats fine i dont realy no owt about diesels im thinking stater moter is jammed are could it be glow plugs any advice are ideas be great thanks

hi mate sounds like the starter have you tried bump starting it ? if it starts on a bump it gonna be your starter or a bad connection good luck

The starters are a common fault on them.They just bolt on to the side of the gear box at the front.

999 not joking if metal fibres around starter full of shit clutch and dual mass flywheel knackered anything up to one thousand pounds to put it right done one absolute bastard of a job

when you tern the key the starter engages with the fly wheel and ternes the engine over when you bump start it its the momentom of the car that is terning the engine over the same prinsible applies to boath ci and si engines

the dual mass flywheel wears out which fill's the starter with shit, take the starter motor off and clean it out if it's full, done it a few times on different car's, works fine

can get solid flywheel and clutch kits from the factors for 200 quid now.

i have had the fly wheel done so i bet the starter is just full of crap from when fly wheel was on way out many thanks fingers crossed im looking at it tmoz

I hate changeing starters/clutches on mondeos. Either no room to whip the starter off or subframe down for the clutch
