dont think 2lt engines go upto £400 i think its the likes of 4x4s and gas guzzlers but not sure, imo i think its a big con,the people that run big engines and new cars they automatticly think they can afford it,no matter what you drive it still affects the atmosphere and they still gonna drive,mr brown just wants more money, you pay tax out of you wages then you pay tax on anything else you buy and then when you need prescription from the hospital they charge you but people that dont work get free prescritions and stuff like that abit of topic sorry but it gets me going this is only in my opinion and not fact

Has the government actually stated it's going to put back the proposed changed to VED or is it still 'under review' and still on track for April 09 at the moment.

I've looked at the DVLA web site and it still has all the prices showing the increases from April 09...

I know there are plenty of rumours going round but I want the facts...

if that's possible

my mondeo is currently in band f but next april will go into band k

how the fuck is that possible?!?!?!?!

still, if i tax it before april i "only" pay £210 for the privilege of bending it on potholes

edited to say that my 2.9 24V twin turbo's 11 mpg sierra will only cost me £185 a year

it just doesn't make sense

I'm sure I heard on the BBC News that they had suspended it because of the state we're (the country) is in just now.
