Default Currys, comet,pc world what a nightmare

Popped in to curry's pc world and comet to check out the latest offerings on tv's ,fook me too many to choose from, prices all over the place left with nothing in the end,
my head was about to explode. Is it my old eyes? the 720p plasma 50 inch at £600 seemed to have a better picture than the latest 2.2k 50 inch samsung 1080p.The 60 inch lg 720p looked impressive I had to go home and measure my penis after seeing this lg beast
lcd offerings seemed to have a brighter picture than plasma but the plasma's were richer.I didn't bother asking the assistance not that I have anything against women I'm sure they would have known everything about fashion but not tv's
What tv do you experts think
50 inch plasma true 1080p is what i am after
I already have more tv's that I have rooms for lol
the most modern of these is a 42 inch plasma panosonic but this was 3k 3 odd years ago and isn't even a 720

Currys and PC World can do some good deals, but you try sorting out a problem after you've parted with your cash. There a fucking nightmare and totally useless

I am tempted to stick with Panasonic, the old plasma I have has been faultless, albeit there is a seriously annoying amount of delay when changing channels and using the freeview

Tony, the panasonics are rated well, i was thinking of a 50" 1080p 100hz one, not overly strusk on the look of them though may stick with samsung.

i only got a small room though .. and to be honest i would have like to had a hooooge screen reality set in and i couldn't really have any bigger.
it sits nicely where it is but cinema size would have been nice

Size is everything
did I mention my wife left me
only thing I regret is she didn't leave 10 years earlier when i was young and in my prime and richer,I want a refund on those 20 years worth of flowers what a waste
20 years together one massive pay out that works out at 375 quid per shag a cossie is cheaper to maintain

The 800B model Viera double scan 100hz one looks nice...

Screen does 30.000:1 aswell which is good...

Also displays 1080p but doesn't have free-sat (if your bothered about it)

the advantage of having big tv's is that when the wife leaves they are too heavy for her to take

Had the same fuck on twice this year, so i sat at the computer and decided which 50" i wanted,,, then just hit all the retailers for best price they would do..
Currys where the best for dealing down a price , the only people they wouldnt beat was "Dixons Online"
Got a cracking deal and paid 1600 quid for 2ks worth of gear.

Research then hit em hard lol

Tony, as you know m,e personally you will know what pain I went through when it was time to upgrade my Tv. I learnt about all technologies including the panel stocks used and screen drivers. Many shop demo's, websites and magazines later I finally came to this conclusion:

http://www.panasonic.co.uk/html/en_GB/874304/index.html

You however would need this: http://www.panasonic.co.uk/html/en_GB/870433/index.html

Here aare some reviews on it pal.
http://www.panasonic.co.uk/html/en_G...trackInfo=true

Price - Performance ratio they are almost impossible to beat.

Tony a friend of mine (who is abit of a geek, when it comes to TV's & shit, he actually works for Sony HQ) was telling me Samsung & LG are cod wank when it comes to TV's. He rates the panasonic ones high, Sony do some shit hot tellys, he said he'd only for a sony or panasonic himself, he told me to stay clear from the lights of Samsung & LG

we are in need of a new TV at the mo, just dont know which or should we hope there is gonna be january sales in places like currys etc

The problem is you can also buy a panasonic 42 plasma for more that twice that
I paid 3 k over 3 years ago for mine and its 42 inch vierra 480p
too many confusing models that all look the same
looks like a 1400 quid panasonic as stu has recommended or a penis enlargement lol

There you go.

50"
1080
100hz
Panasonic

And as its Richer Sounds. Probably a damn site cheaper than Comet, Currys or Pc World.

Pioneer Alternative
http://www.empiredirect.co.uk/conten...PLX5090-UT.htm (Gadget Show's recommended, can't see if its 100hz or 200hz though)

Tony... 60' MINIMUM mate!

even though I have always bought Pioneer and panasonic plasmas in the past.... I did some reading up and bought an LG... ignore the old shite they used to knock out and any brand snob you have in you... The new 60's are awesome... the picture in my eyes on SkyHD and Bluray is as good as my 43' Pioneer I have in my bedroom. Its not as good on SD tv as the Panasonic was and the Pioneer is though... BUT overall I have been BLOWN away by the LG... and I NEVER thought I would say that! and the price is just silly! I doubt it will last like a Pioneer or a Panasonic but then it only gets used a few hours a week at most to be honest (and IF it breaks... thats just an good excuse to get a 70' one! hahahha)
