Bigger bearings will have .25 or .50 markings in them. When reboring go to the smallest size needed, ideally .25

It's easy enough to do, but some knowledge would be useful to avoid heartache

its a costly mistake to rebuild a yb with no experience
if your not sure about pistons and bearing sizes then i'd advise leaving it to an expert
if you are sureyou want to try it yourself then take every part to an engineer to get properly measured and checked, it might cost you a couple quid for this but at least then it'll have the correct parts,
dont try rush the build, take twice as long as you think it should take and tripple check everything,
imo a yb is a heavy stressed engine and so not a good jigsaw puzzle to start playing with as everything needs to be perfect or it will go horibly wrong
anyhow i do admire your courage for trying but just be very careful and seek expert advice at every point

Ive assembled a couple of engines and its not that hard with a manual etc. Trying to work out sizes and bores etc are not so easy I get help from a local machining shop/engine builder.

any engineer will have a look/measure for you
if its just a basic standard build then by all means have a go
they are old engines and so very basic realy
just dont go trying to go for much more than standard power or this will get harder
bit more involved when you got porting, mod'd valve seats, cams to time/dial etc
but as i say take more time than realy needed and triple check everything
and lub everything up proberly, i.e pistons, cam journals, big and small ends, mains etc
