ive used them a fair few times, my mates all go there, 2 x ka turbos went there 2 weeks ago to have omex 600 fitted for a good price, one of my other mates roled his cossie in at 444 and rolled out at 517 brake.
ive never had any issues although people have told me bad things about them.
at the end of the day, its personal preference i think on r/roads

There's quite a few threads on here about Engine Advantages................ and most of them aren't good. "I personally" believe there are alot better choices available. But I'll say no more, the previous threads tell the stories well enough.
Karl Norris (NMS)
Stu (MSD)
Mark Shead (MAD)
Harvey Gibbs (SCS)
I'd put any of them way above Engine Advantages, and I don't think I'd be the only person to do the same.

I been stung by them, took a car in running a GGR stage 1 chip at 277.7bhp 268.2lbft.
After EA's stage 3 chip it ran 328.8bhp 288.7lbft, but also 10.5 AFR.
Was not happy, went to 1st place I went to for a power run(Ł20), where on the same rollers as the GGR power it was revealed to be a true 271.5bhp 334.3lbft, but with 9psi more boost, so immediately changed back to GGR chip, could defo notice the torque difference, but twice as good on mpg!!
What I liked about it was they use a rolling road that isn't dyno dynamics!!
Now on aftermarket so don't need to worry.
STEER CLEAR IS MY ONLY ADVICE

From what ave read on here mate his bhp figures are not anything to go by.think people have been there then got them rolling roaded again and the figures he gave are nowhere near what the cars were actually running

"other" tuners do admit mistakes well some at least, look in PPC where dave walker wrecked a customers engine by ingesting water on a MG maestro, despite the engine prior to this being a bit ropey he put it all right cost wise and id not hesitate.
That is what I like about him total honesty, I use the same rollers(his) for comparison purposes when checking things like ea stuff, where the gas anylyser nearly clogged up at 10.5 AFR, chip was pure shit, VERY happy to print on here along with TRUE figure afterwards.
It was so rich you had to hold it at 2000 rpm when cold as it was always trying to fag out, and kept repeatedly operating amal valve constantly till warm.
When up to temp had to be revved a lot to clear plugs as they were fouling, it's a shame as I like the bloke as a person.
Dave College of retro ford had a burst fuel hose on his escort that set his car on fire, this was in the magazine(PPC), but again put right.
Last week when mapping yet another car that had been trailered over from norway the person who did the wiring when building the car used plastic clips just above a very close exhaust, clip melted wire fell on exhaust blew ecu, costing Ł100 repair, it was done immediately, dave/karl stayed late to do it, NO CHARGE was made for this.
I could tell you about other famous people who's work was crap but no one wants to hear about that, I've been there and seen it with my own eyes as cars were mapped.
Any decent operator will make mistakes they are a liar if they say different, the important thing is how they deal with this that sets them apart, a lot don't want to know.

Oh shucks.... I'll tell you anyway!!
Umm...Engine Advantages......go to them if you have lots and lots and lots of money....and also a spare car to use long term for at least 6 months whilst your pride and joy is being repaired by another tuner who has to repair or replace the engine that above said company will have destroyed in their attempt to map/tune it. Also make sure you have plenty of mates with magnets/thick binoculars to find the thousands of bits of exploded block/crank/rods/pistons etc.
Your engine after going there will however be able to be used as a Top Gear prop style coffee table. Excellent as a talking feature in your lounge for dinner parties etc. When your guests ask what the blob of scrap metal under the tinted circular glass is, you can tell them that it all that was left of your engine after you went to Engine Advantages.
If you are scared by any of the above then do not go there?
If you are stupid, or have recently won the lottery, or are sleeping with your bald homosexual bank manager for financial gain, then do go there.
Glad I could be of assistance.

Lads...... Please forgive me for always raising this issue every time a EA question comes up, but it is my god damned right to do so (and I am doing a public service to you all!), having been made poor and having to wear 5 year old shoes and old holy pants and sit in the dark under candlelight eating stale bread by this twat.
Its this bungling weapon that made me lose all confidence in my Escort and Cosworths in general and thats why I sold it! Its new owner is caning the gonads out of Harveys engine, shame I didnt have the confidence to do it!
My new car, strangely enough goes like stink (without breaking), yet wont let me take it anywhere near Witham.....it has a self preservation mechanism!

Ask Stavros how I used to drive that car many years ago (pre EA), I'm sure he'd say it was as close to driving a tarmac rally stage on B-Roads as you could ever get.
So I thought a fresh start with a nice reliable 450bhp german supercar would return my confidence and it indeed has, I drive it like I've stole it being chased by bad men in a Corvette and regularly do 175mph (on wide, safe, dry private roads of course Mr Plod!).
I know Harveys engine was good as the new owner regularly rings me laughing and shaking to tell me there is brown steam coming from his pants, its just a shame that I used to have the same hot excrement vapour but mine was from worry it would go bang again.

Until today, my favourite curse was 'buffoon'. Now it's 'bungling weapon'. ![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)
After reading such a horror story, I'm surprised they're in business at all, but saying that, they are in business, so presumably they must be doing something (however small) right. I'm not sticking up for them, just trying to work out how someone can still trade while being apprently so monumentally brilliant at ruining expensive engines.

incompetent
unproductive
wasteful
inept
useless
uneconomical.
I doesnt say "blundering amateur who doesnt know how to fit a GT35 with an external wastegate" or "complete penis who wants to rob you of all your money". I must complain to Bill Gates about his pooey little word program spellchecker!
Many businesses stay in business even when they are incompetent, mainly due ot the fact that a lot of poeple go there without knowing the history of the poor souls who have been there and subsequently anally felched and probed with their pants well and truly removed beforehand.
If my 0 bhp engine case was genuinely a really isolated exception or if EA had expressed the courteousy to help and repair the exploded engine, I might have had a bit of understanding for my wallet but under the circumstances.........

A rare satisified EA customer here . As rare as my dodo egg and pet dinosaur......and signed naked photograph of the Queen smoking a reefer being knoshed from behind by Elvis.
