Audi S4 and info?
Avant, around 2000, 2.7 twin turbo jobby.
Being 100bhp per litre and FI presume chip well without issues, say 330bhp comfortably?
Being Audi presume the drivetrain can take all you can throw at it?
Reviews say they're highly competent traction wise, look like could be fun reliable and practical.
Cheers.

They're 276 standard and there are 550bhp+ out there, so a wealth of potential.
Several users on here with experience of them.
NOT a sports car though. Bit heavy for track work, great everyday car though.

Cheers.
Not driven one, and is less bhp than the old M3 I had, and more drivetrain losses, so not expecting a rocketship.
Just thinking of the torque for overtaking etc, peak from 1850, lower than my passat diesel!
Be a good nippy everyday car I was thinking.
Was just reading some reviews most gave 9/10 out of 10 in every area, some 1 as they'd had a lot of expensive problems

Not keen on saloon for looks, otherwise same car I guess.
Anything you didn't like?
Read the gearchange is sloppy or something?

used to get a lift in one 30 miles each way to college back in the day. was on 160k and still felt brand new to passenger in. lovely car. quick and very stable but quite hard work on tight corners and the like.
id have one if i could afford the fuel.
and also, even at 160k the only issues he had with it were a sensor on the throttle pedal iirc (fly by wire?) and a wheel bearing. very impressive.

have an avant myself,
the basic Ł500 remaps make it run 320-330 bhp, after that tunning wise it rockets in price, most go for the rs4 ICs and turbos, about Ł4, as its engine out to change the turbos, gives about 400bhp
then more Ł0000s for 500bhp
Rich_w summed it up with, NOT a sports car though. Bit heavy for track work, great everyday car though.
Surprices stuff off the line (especially in estate form), standard 0-60 in 5.6 and plenty of grip
Insurance group 20 and not great on fuel around town, but its under 90p a litre now on a run does well tho.
loads of info over on www.rs246.com
oh and this ones forsale https://passionford.com/forum/showth...92#post3584492

That shed still for sale?
3 months, that's struggling to sell?
Looks sound on the whole.
Remap would cost me Ł200 max I expect so that would be ok.
Wouldn't want mega power.
What mpg can they do on a gentle run?
Believe they're revvy even in sixth?
Cheers.

I shal;l vbe replacing my A4 T Sport with a B5 S4 when th etime coes to change. Love them to bits. 265bhp or there abouts from the box and there is a mountain of tuning potential. No where near as nimble as say a Scooby but it's a different sort of car. I love the fact that in my A4 I can be doing *70mph* and I can talk to the person next to me rather than have to shout at them
