Plus they probably weighted it up a bit so it didn't float and roll over in the waves.
they had 4 super strong marines with breathing aparatus underneath the car carrying it on their backs and as a precaution they had david blaine in the boot ready to use his magical ability to levitate objects if it all went wrong
.
its a bit top secret and i could probably be killed for telling you this but the fiesta was actually modified by the people who built chitty chitty bang bang , they were going to show you how the car can also fly but they realised it would create allsorts of problems for members of internet forums so decided not to air it .

i think its quite funny how someone asked a proper question about something to do with cars and every jumped on the pf wagon and changed it round of who cares and its not real blah blah
normally its the old "this is a car forum for the dicussion of cars you have to be serious etc etc line"
this site still cracks me up

(dont ask) and it was seriously over heating. I never used to run an air filter so the intake was open to anything really. To keep it running just below melt down i regularly poured water, from a bucket, over the engine and in to the intake. Big clouds of white smoke, but it kept on going! It even drove me 10 miles home with a crank snapped in to 3 parts

FPMSL @ someone trying to factually analyse top gear.
What next, inconsistancies on east enders?
Topgear is a comedy entertainment show loosely based around the concept of reviewing and driving cars, almost nothing on it is accurrate.
Just watch and enjoy, dont stop to notice the fact its full of bollocks or it will ruin it.
RW, when they have all their races, do you think they ACTUALLY race?
Like when May raced the BMX'ers through prague and there were a dozen or more shots from static cameras along the route, do you think the BBC took 12 camera crews to line the route, or do you think they shot the whole thing in small sections and then pasted it together to make a story of a race?
Would have expected better from someone inteligent like you

I'm guessing they either waterproofed all the door seals and vents etc to stop it flooding then towed it in, or waterproofed as above then ducted the air intake through the bulkhead into the cabin and drove it under its own power.
Plus they probably weighted it up a bit so it didn't float and roll over in the waves.

As that man. Local rag here (near the beach where it was filmed) said the car was "modified". The choppers were from the local Fleet Air Arm at Yeovilton.
Si
whys that then?
i've put countless vans through water that deep and they've been fine as long as the revs were up and i was riding the bow wave
only the exhaust was under the water so i would assume that that's why it was struggling
care to shed any light on the subject as i do this quite often in my line of work so any tips would be handy
