Default Display engines - Who does machining?

I bought an Aston V12 motor with the intention of grafting it into a something but after stripping it today that plan is out as its bolloxed beyond economic repair (hydrauliced - bent 5 rods and damaged 1 head).
I am wanting to have the block/head machined to show the internals like on the cutaway engines you see on displays.
Can anyone suggest a firm to undertake the job?

TBH any good machine shop will be able to do it.no doubt u will have to tell them were to cut
A exploded view of the engine would be of great help

Interesting be nice to see some pics once done

Did you know it was that buggered Cam? I guess you knew it was a non runner, and maybe buggered rods, but presume the head damage was unknown?

Wonder how much a V12 head for an Aston would be?

If you want to cut through everything including hard valve seats and guides get it wire eroded
Not cheap at around £10 square inch but will give a very neat job with no de-buring needed.

it's missing 5 rods so it's only gona be 7 at the most plus you only cut out sections to show the moving parts 9" grinder and some soft pads for the 4" as stated above it will give ya a winter project

they had an old ford Cross Flow engine cross sectioned at college and that looked pretty good. i'd imagine a V12 would be a work of art...

this is ofcourse a motorbike engine...

Default re-sectioned engine

I just finished sectioning a bike engine ,only a 150 single .......it took a while to do ,I used my machine shop to do it and used a bridgeport mill to do quite a lot of it,finished it all off with an aqua blast.....looks very nice and a good teaching tool,it's on ebay at the moment and had no offers yet!!!! oh well,if it does not sell I'll put it on the counter in the local bike shop with some business cards under it......one thing is for sure though you are not likely to want to pay for the sort of hours involved in a v12 engine!!!!!
