Default Mk 6 escort van wheel fitment????

I tried to fit some 15 alloys (195 60 15)on my 51 plate van.The fronts went on o.k but the rear fouled the inner qtrs.Hve seen 17,s on some van,is it a case of using spacers?

I would have thought 195/50 would be a better option.

the inner arches usualy need a knockd in a bit to put alloys on the back of escort vans
easy enough to do, just get a big hammer and dont be shy

Was thinking about using spacers but not sure how safe it would be.
Any pics would be helpful.

What wheels are they mate? I put some si wheels on mine and they rubbed slightly. As said above I just tapped the inners in slightly to give about a quarter of an inch clearance.

They are FOCUS GHIA alloys. They catch on the inside of the tyre at the back.

Do they foul completely? i.e wont turn. Mine just scrubbed a little when i didn't have any weight in the back.

Very hard to turn.If you finger tight the nuts up ,then it lightley scrubs. But one they are fully tight with a brace then it won't turn.

Might be different offset to Escort rims then. You might need spacers with longer studs.

I would have thought the tyres were to blame. 196/60/15 would be far to big i think, Offset may be incorrect also and not helping, I would have 195/50 or 55/ 15 on there

I had 195/50/15's on mine, at std hight i had to put 2mm spacers on, worked a treat, once lowered i didnt need any spacers at all! they were tsw's too!
