Plans (provisional at the mo) are ferry over on 8am crossing Thurs 14th May
Return home time not sure yet, but would expect to leave the Ring 6pm ish Monday eve (18th May) to catch the midnight ferry home avoiding all the traffic.
Have done the same times / days the last 2 times I've been to the Ring and it has worked very well.

rick if anything i can meet up with you and then convoy from there, the ferry is usually 6ish in the morning and get there at 9ish i think,,, then take a painfully slow drive with phil2400 pmsl
So do I, not having seen the car in yonks, and liking it's current reinvention I'm really keen to see it in the flesh, and it will eat up the high speed parts of the Ring (which is a lot of it!)
If YUM does go I hope you don't mind me being your passenger for half the way, Chip offered to seat swap with me due to my back not being able to take the bucket seats all the way to Germany
I have to remember to take my Ipod too, as thats the only way I will be able to listen to any music on the way

Will get the Dover ferry with the rest of the gang I guess. Norfolkline wer doing some silly cheap offer too on Dover Dunkirk crossings.

stu the ferry is always cheep, i also got a letterabout half price crossings but it ended yesturday and didnt wanna book the wrong ferry for the sake of saving 20 quid
its only about 40 quid anyway and it cuts off 30 miles from calais anyway,,,, which saves me about 10 quid in fuel too pmsl
