Default Spring Ring Trip

P&O ferries hull-rotterdam are £199 if booked before 18th December. Anyone have any dates in mind as to when they'll be going, be good to get it booked.

Rick.

I'd be very wary about booking this early, they dont release the ring opening times till early next year, and how gutted would you be to book a weekend trip to find there was an event on and the track is shut or only open for a few hours

how much?

you can get the eurotunnel for way less than £100 and then you only have to pay 1/4 of it if you exchange tesco clubcard vouchers

Let me guess. When they come back you want them to bring back a shipment of "sugar"

I can finish work at 5, 90 min drive to Hull, have a good nights sleep, and be at the ring for lunch. Going via the channel means an extra day off work so ends up costing much more.

I'll deffo be there with loads of peeps off here as per every year

Deffo going via Norfolk Line Dover - Dunkirk, £40 as per Ginge, great boats too.

Won't be booking or planning any dates till 2009 for the reasons mentioned above.

IF Easter falls favourably in 09 (Late April at the earliest) then it MIGHT be ok, but last year loads of the MLR lot went when it was snowing, most managed 1 lap.

Loved going in May this year, weather was amazing.

Si

That would be hilarious! Not sure what the prim and proper German drivers would make of his antics

Will deffo keep you posted, always a good crowd when we go over, which really helps make the trip as good as it always is.

Rick's girlfriend (fiancee?) also makes damn nice sarnies as well, so hopefully we can tie in with them too

Charming
I suspect the real reason it was a good trip for you though was more to do with the absense of a shitty red sierra

Defo 100% up for the May trip. Weather was amazing this year.

I really want to take the bathtub but its just too far to take it on a trailer or to drive it and it will no doubt break! The Audi was born for ring trips so guess I will take that!

Lee is totally 200% convinced he is gonna drive his bathtub there! should be fun.

Will do the Dover/Dunkirk route too. Breaks the journey up and you get a half decent full fry up too.

I reckon you and Lee should both take the bathtubs, just break the journey up with a stop off halfway for a night?

Your probably right Chip. It would be immense fun but it a 'kin long way for a high risk of breakdown or something going wrong!

I would love to do some laps in the tub.

As you so effing clever cant you invent teleporting between now and May? Surely between you, Simon SECS and Diva it must be possible!!!!

Lmao @ teleporting.

I know what you are saying about the risk of something going wrong, maybe you should load the audi full of tools and spares, and tow your westy, and convoy with lee, then you and him can take turns in driving the audi and trailer and his westy?

If his brakes, it can be trailered back and drive yours, or he can just send it back with adac?

Failing that, both drive them, and just get an adac hire car when they break and send them home, lol
