Spring Ring Trip
Ginge, probably will be bringing my clan.
Will be staying at the same hotel as last year. It was a few miles away and more expensive but the chicks dig it.
Centreparcs could be fun though and I am planning on staying a bit longer than 3 days this next trip so maybe something to consider. I cant have steak on a stone every night for dinner there though!!!!

the drive to and from the hotel was awesome... although for some reason i just couldnt master the tight left hand bends...... we were in fit laughing that i could fly round the right handers but not the left!!
Was a great trip last year!
And thank you for all the offers of passenger seats guys!!!

I would love to go on the 2009 trip but i'm affraid other holiday's have been booked and the funds will not stretch to a Ring Trip
Last year was the muts nuts, whoever had the idea of going in May deserves a badge!
Polly X - Thanks for inviting us to your hotel this year the food and the drive there was awesome!
Going to be gutted that I wont be there next year, but hopefully absence makes the heart grow fonder???????????

Will miss the trip and to be honest miss the banter/antics more!
Never thought knock a door run on a ferry at 3am at the age of 25 would be so funny! Good Times!

Hmmmmmm decisions decisions a busy Nordschleife with great nightlife with heaps of time for socialising or a less busy time with more focus on quality time out on the ring? Either way im sure we'll make it accross at least once next year
The busy track with socialising, good food and nights out wins hands down every single time for me. The group of people last year was just ace. Just everything about the trip was good. Good convoy, good hotel, good food, good babysitters!!
i estimate ill need about £1k to go ? and possibly new 14" tyres
Best bingo call ever possibly?

I really want to go. Like realllly, but wanted to do other stuff next year.
The next time i go i want to take a car of my own aswell and the poxy diesel Boring Borat would need alot of pennies spending on it to make it 'Ring worthy!
get someone to tag along and half the cost of the hotel/fuel/laps is a idea perhaps
i done 1500 quid this year but think i done it on a grand last year
left sheffield saturday morning 6am. 12pm dover-dunkirk ferry. got to nurburg saturday tea time. did the ring sunday and monday. left nurburg 6am tuesday morning. 12pm ferry dunkirk-dover. home for tea.
ferry was £48 return. hotel was 65euros a night. 15 laps was 235euros.
6 tanks of fuel about £300. plus food and drink
guessing they charged you 85euros a night cos there was 2 of you? even though there were 2 beds in my room.

how do you guys spend so much money

me and paul went over in aug and i pretty sure i never spent over 500 quid, thurs to monday night
but then we didn't go clubbing, but did eat out every night, but again they weren't 5* places
or you just have fuel hungry carsm, and posh hotels

1000 quid for a weekend easily goes without excessive spending on food or any posh hotels IMHO.
Especially if you allow for the fact you will more than likely use up most of the tread on a 300 quid set of tyres or whatever.

spiky, i easily spent more than 500quid on fuel and laps
(did 4 TANKS of fuel in 1 day)
but then on the first few trips you wont be doing 20+ laps in a weekend unless youre mental

yeah, true
i think the amount of accidents the weekend i went, put me off a little, plus i had a suspension knock on hard cornering plus not knowing ANY of the track, had me liking the trip, but i played the sensible card
