Default fuel pump relay

think i have an issue with the relay,,last time out with the 3 door when i hit a rumble strip or bumps on the road the fuel was cutting out.
I checked the pump wires, and they where fine.

Any how i had the car booked in for an MOT today so last night i decided to conect the battery, and check the usuals , light s ect.

Car started and died , wouldnt restart.??
Checked at the pump and there was no power , at the fuse was ok, so after a few calls the idea was to check the relay under the dash.So some how i got myself head first under there, found 2 yellow relays, proded them but dont know which is for the fuel pump.

Tried the car after a prod of the relays and it fired straight up.

So i recon one of the relays is ifffy, but which one , is there any way of telling the fuel relay , numbers markings ect???

all help appreciated

Look for the relay with a BLACK/RED wire in it, as this is the output from the relay to the pump itself(through trip in boot, if 3 door has this, but don't think they do ?)

3dr's dont have inertia switches, pump works directly from relay behind the glovebox.

Sure is

If memory serves, the ECU and Fuel Pump relays are the same part.

yeh thats correct 1 yellow relay is for the engine ecu and the other is for the fuel pump. I got told that the relay is a common fault on the cossies. Its one of the first things i changed when i got mine.

A lot of people just feed direct from the ignition switch through cut out/relay etc
