not sure about the focus but i know vauxhall pump repairs are bloody expensive due to the coil pack given a high voltage to the pump and fooking it up..
around £700 to £1000 to fix if done buy garage

if so it will be the box ontop of the pump. get used one put on. then get programed at fords.

a mate of mine had same prob with he's and did the same to that aswell and they are both spot on now.

tdci's have wires to the injectors, tddi's don't. how old is it? early tddi's don't need programing, did one last week on a v reg, just bolted it on,bled the fuel system and fired it up. think we charged about 1100 quid.

i did my old mans one a few months back and to do it right with all brnd new parts from ford cost my dad around £900 , its a very easy job .
if you use a new pump it will fire right up but if you use a secondhand one you will have to get it programmed .
if you do get a secondhand one make sure its got the same code as the one youve got .
