They are all pretty much the same.
I wouldn't put too much effort in finding "the best" hdmi cable.
You won't see the difference anyway.

as for the comment above about not seeing the differance.like anything else dont buy cheap shite.go on to what hi fi mag and they will give you a list of top rated ones.a cable over 7 meters isnt certified to give 1080p hd.it prob will tho.7 meters is the longest hdmi that is certified 1080p.i just bought a 7 meter q.e.d from play for 75 quid.if your in to your audio etc you will appreciate spendin that bit more.

A recent test here in norway shoved that the cables that cost around 10 quid were just as good as the 300quid ones.. the sellers themselves did not see any difference at all.. this was done with expensive equipment aswell that measured the signals..

They also tested cheap and mega expensive cables on The Gadget show
no difference was noted either in their test..
Arn't these cables just transmitting a lot of 0S and 1s?
so either they work or they don't?

Can you explain why this is the case? Can you also explain who advertises in what hi fi magazine and where the test samples often come from? You are also wrong on 7m being the longest hdmi can send a 1080p source. In fact a cheaply made v1.3 cat 1 cable can transmit up to 15m when using "24 AWG conductors" and 340mhz/1600p can be sent down a cable.

Topic Starter,

What are you connecting that requires a 10m cable?

Thats spot on, the only reason to spend more is for build quality so i say spend about Ł20 and get one that will last, as long as it actually works there is no difference, a "0" or a "1" either gets there or doesnt. Anolog is where you spend money to get shielding and what not.
