New phone Samsung Omnia????
due an upgrade on my phone contract and i love the look of the Samsung Omnia
has anyone got it? - what's you experience?
i've read a few reviews and they seem good, but i thought i'd put it to the PF massive

The misses has
Touch screen, bit like Marmite
I personaly just cant get on with them and a pain just to answer a call. 99% of the time she misses the calls and has to ring back
Get the soul mate, a lot easyer to use and still has a little touch screen bit if thats what u want

i'll have a look at the Soul one then - not bothered either way about touch screen, its just that i;ve never had touch screen before

ive use touch screen mobile windows mobiles for the past 4 years now and couldnt go back to normal phone,
but my mate got an omnia as an upgrade, couldnt get on with it, asked me to help him understand it, and i personally didnt like it, didnt flow / touch right????
it was ebayed and he got a i8510 which is very nice

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
got one and love it, feature list is pretty much infinite with win mob, camera is brilliant.
does need getting used to but once you have you wont want a normal phone again.

To get this software through your Nokia N96, click Menu > Tools > Utilities > Device Manager. Select Options > Check for updates and follow the on-screen prompts. Remember that you can also use Wi-Fi to download the update

I'm waiting on my N96 coming, should be here anyday now. Looked at the omnia/tocco/iphone and the blackberry, decided to go for the N96, hopefully ive made the right choice.

Virtually every Nokia N series phone thats come out in the last few years has been shit to begin with, and needs firmware updates to iron out the bugs - the N95 was virtually unusable when it first emerged some years ago!
I've heard the same about the Omnia aswell, but I have no idea how good Samsung are at getting firmware patches and fixes sorted and online....
To me, it looks like a poor mans iPhone - apart from the two buttons on the bottom it's almost a complete rip off style wise.... I've only played with one, not actually used one, but like Fil I didn't think much of it. The Blackberry Curve (and the Pearl, which I didn't really gel with) were much better, as is my friends O2 thing (XDA?).
Obviously one of the main problems with it is it runs (for want of a better word
) Windows But thats another story 
I'm still really interested to see how the Google Phone (T-Mobile G1) is gonna perform, and I'd be tempted to get one, if the handset design wasn't so god-awful!!!!
