I have no issue eating alone and if working away i will eat in the restaurant on my own no problem. I do enjoy my own company and often i am really busy and lunch time is the only time i get to myself!! So i purposely sit on my own if eating in the staff canteen or happily lock my office door and eat in my office!!

I wouldn't have a problem eating alone in a pub, etc either.

I'm shocked the amount of people that have mentioned mcdonalds!! lol And those that have said they will get a take out and eat in their car. Surely that's just the same??? Your still eating on your own, just not in public? So that tells me that you people don't have an issue eating on your own, more that your issue is what other people will "think" of you eating on your own!!! Sad really!! Who the hell cares what other people would think! Everyones got to eat, it's a necessity not a social event!

I do really enjoying socialising over a nice meal. But i wouldn't not eat to avoid eating alone!
