F1 FIA Appeal hearing
So then guys, today is the day. What do we all think the outcome will be?
Even though i am a mad Massa fan, I believe Hamiltons punishment was unfair, and unjust.
Unfortunately I think the penalty will stand - mainly because of the fact a drive through penalty cannot be appealed in the first place, as opposed to the FIA taking a pro-ferrari stance........

i saw it and i cant make my mind up
firstly i dont watch and are not into f1 enough to make a valid result. but, i thoguht hamilton let him go back past and thats that. it jus happened that hami took him on the next bend which he may have doen anyway?
he could've kept ahead but he let him pass.
jus let him keep the points.

As much as I dont feel it was the right decision and I do think what you said is right.
Nobody even at Monza seemed to know the actual rule on it so if anyone did do a "illegal" overtake then they would sit back for a few seconds to make it obvious that they had held back, personally I think Hamilton done enough and if the Ferrari wasn't quick enough to hold him off down that straight then its tough, the muppet still stacked it anyway which was clearly Mclarens fault for even being within 10 miles of them

what are they contesting?
the fact that there was a "legitemate" (in maclarens eyes) giving back of the robbed place by cutting over the grass and gaining a big advantage
or
the severity of the penatly?
either way, i can't see either of them not sticking
the hamster didn't give it up cleanly enough and 6kmph on a straight where they were reaching 150 mph is not a lot really
and the penalty is just for the reasons due to it ebing in the ruels that it's the penatly you will recive if you break the ruels at that point in the race
i don't think it's a harsh decision handed out seeing as he would have more than likely passed him in the next lap or so, but it was a very sportsmanlike move which is how they will see it
don't forget, if they make too much of a song and dance about it, ron will lose even more hair so that's why he's taking it very easy

Next lap. Surely you meant next corner.
Dojj - GRASS!!?? Do you have a completely different TV system from the rest of the world?
I'm going to buck the trend and say he will get it back.
There was an awful lot of clarification going on at Monza, which shows the rules at the time were a very grey area. Now sorted, so under the old rules he should keep it.
Wonder how many rule re-writes LH will cause in his career. Much like a certain German fellow who used to race in a Fiat.

from the courtroom itself, as reported by the official press guy who was on the radio doing an interview, the case in question lasted around 5.5 hours
2 hours of which was to put teh case that the penalty was appealable or not, then to decide if it was a drive through penalty of a time penalty
it will be upheld as it's in the rules
maclarean aren't even questioning that it shouldn't have been lewis getting penalised either, it's the fact that they say it's a time penalty as they have had time added to the clock, even though the rules state that a drive through penalty cannot be contested and that if it occours in the last 5 laps of the race it's a 25 second time addition to your finishing time
as much as i'd like to say he'll get his points back and it'll be on the home straight, he's gonna get fucked

Hes a 'British' driver. No-body likes the British so I think we're on a losing battle here...
Like the Minis at Monte Carlo - if we get too good the rest of europe doesnt like it.
