can any one tell me wot i have got to do . i may of sold my ford mondeo st200 tomorrow but it still has my privit plate on and its not being sold with the car wot do i do

Keep your mot & log book, go to the dvla office & fill in the form then you'll get the docs back within a week but the log book will take upto 14 days, then you'll get a retention certificate for your 'privit plate' then send off the log book with the new owners details.

Dont forget to state on the receipt that the 'privit plate' is not included in the sale.

keep all the docs then go the the DVLA and put the PRIVATE plate on retention or do a transfer

need to go to nearest dvla office and get your plate on retention or swapped onto another vehicle thats taxed mot'd and insured it takes 14 days and you will get new log books mot papers and new tax discs
