its not big enough. t4 wont supply 550 bhp without a trick expensive engine spec. im just gona run 2 bar with highest lift cams on hyds and big ports, maybe big valves to havnt decided yet. might make more power but 550 or above and il be happy.

My mates got a full H&S exhaust for a Saph same spec as Mikes if you looking for a proper free flowing exhaust to go with it. Only did 500miles with it.

Good luck matey !!

I've heard a couple horror stories bout internally gated 35's, are you staying with the 2wd exhaust manifold ??

Hope ya all the best either way, alos, I've head a few different opinions on pumps, some say 1 on really good wiring will do the job, other say 2. Guessing it's more car specific than anything, so if you runnin outta fuel up top, get another 044 !!

Also, I head a 4" down pipe helps ALOT for flow, I'm runnin full mongoose on mine @ "around" 500hp on a Gt35r, but I got a screamer which helps alot with flow.

The Tial w/g is V band, the turbo it's self isn't. It's got the Reyland ext wastegate/Gt series turbo fitting kit on there & the fit is perfect !!

I actually prefer it to most ext w/g take off's I've seen as other's put the gat too close to the filter & need longer pipework etc !!

yeah sticking with 2wd manifold, got a 4a4 plenum with spacer and elbow opened out to rs500 spec. i think the problems come from internal gated gt35s come from running 2 bar plus boost so im gonna run 28 to 29 psi max hopefully will be ok. i run 2.2 bar at the moment on the t4 so pressure will be down a bit.

Pressure will be down but flow will be up

I'm runnin about 28/29psi (1.95 bar) at the mo untill I can get the car up to Turbosystems for a full live mapping session Then we should see the right side of 2.5 bar Can't wait lol.

Will, umm not sure how to answer that !! The word nightmare springs to mind, but at the same time I absolutely love it Got a welded diff, no PAS, no servo assisted brakes & track spec suspension But when ya step the loud pedal all hell breaks loose & it's like a roller coaster ride where you jus hang on grinnin !!

Ask C&B bout when they followed us up the road a couple weeks back & I've taken Chip, Jim, Paul (rst), Rich, Dave (Twins), Dan (Cossie), Mark (Gil), Dave (it's Dave) & Mikey Rainbird for a spin He was smiling more than usual !! They all pretty much agree !!

Yeah, mine won't be anywhere near that tho !! (Basically same spec as Lee's 3dr when runnin gt35 without solids & appriate cams tho.

Anything the right side of 560hp & I'm happy !!

It's the flow that causes the surge, are you having the head re-done to help cut down the amount of surge you get ?? Or the head already done ??

Main reason being is anything that runs off the crank saps power from the engine & I want as much power from the engine as possible !!

Plus I got offered the quick rack for half the price of a PAS rack so bought that instead

Everything come from Martin @ Reyland to fit the turbo !!

ive been thinking about getting rid of pas as it just takes up so much room and most likely does sap power.

I'm thinking about getting rid of the power steering too. I currently have a standard power steering rack. Do I need to change to a competition quick rack or can I alter the standard rack to be non-powered?

Cheers,

tbh honesty i cant see internal gate being a problem as housing looks identical to 4 bolt just exit is different. still same size housing up to the back of turbine wheel. and running 2 bar boost actuator should easily cope. i may port actuator hole and fit bigger wategate penny just as a precaution.

The yanks quote the 044 as a 420lb/hr pump, so if thats correct, feeding 4 x 83lb injectors shouldnt pose a problem.

A couple of Bosch 909's would be much cheaper if you wanted more than a single 044 could handle. But at 550-600, you should be fine.

I was recently told about an Evo making a little over 600 at the hubs on a Dynapack ( in the UK ) that had a single 044....not sure what injectors it had though.

Ive tested my own 044's.

Via a single -6 line ( 3/8" ID ) outlet after the reg, at 66psi test pressure and 13.1volts. They flowed equivalent to 486 litres per hour.

I did test at lower voltages. I dont recall exact figures, but the flow difference with only 1 volt less was quite a lot, and I only tested for a duration of 20seconds.

Will the turbo fit on a 2wd manifold without a spacer? The external gated version wont.

Quick Reply: well ive bought the inlet and ordered the gt35r :)
