As above but the 3 bar refers to its pressure range.
This is 2 bar boost + 1 bar atmosphere = total 3 bar.
1 bar is the same as 14.5 psi roughly
You can ONLY fit one of these if your ecu chip is programmed for it.
The standard car one on a sierra for example is a 2 bar sensor.... 1 bar boost + 1 bar atmosphere
Basically, you change this sensor to allow more boost to be used.

ok - will check - I have question for all - bog standard escos or blinged up escos engine, which would be the more desirable as Im in a dilema - not sure which way to go as car ive just bought has a new ford lump standard done 2k and a few samco hoses but not all also has a shiny breather tank and a k &n apart from that the rest is standard. do you carry one and finish the job or go back to as ford intended?

gazm,
When i got my escos I kept it standard for 6 months... then I just could not resist modding it !!!
It really is down to personal preference ! I didnt like bling that much myself but all the mods were done for power !

imho go for stage3 kinda power, it's cheap and reliable if well maintained.

hmmm, I know what you mean mate, but when you see a totally standard car they do look the dogs, specially if its looked after, and they do seem to fetch good money if standard these days, but someone sort of had a go at moddin it but never quite got there, saying that some of the member cars on here look superb when done.

No youre right - the greens were put in after by the garage that put it in for the owner , the engine was standard internally, I have been told that the gasket was a group a when put together,. the car was then sold to the garage (tgr nmotorsport) who put the YB in, I had it from them. I have heard it run but have not driven it as yet, as the rads are not in, and needs finishing so thats why wondering which way to go with it.
