See my post above fella. We were out early at Ford Fair and I had no grip.

I'd take it very easy. If you're with Greenight track day insurance is only Ł50. XS is double but you still get your agreed value and like for like on modded bits

Glad to here there are no physical injuries.

It sounds like the car is up near Reyland now, and not in Kent? Only mention because I know of a big BMW breakers who would take the car, rather than break yourself.

If anyone was considering repairing it, it would definitely need a jig. That nearside front area has absorbed quite an impact.

Shame it caught Paul out These cars without TC (my non-evo doesn't) really can bite ...

Ralph.

not worth repairing. E36 M3s are so bloody cheap nowadays its more sensible to get rid and replace. thats the way i always thought about the car "if i bin it, ill get another on the insurance"

oh shit, not insured on track

just another question

jim, how much was the m3 worth realistically?

and paul, how much is your escort worth?

would it not be viable for jim to take ownership of the escort and sell it, and if it makes a profit over the value of the m3, give paul the remainder?

very true mate.

imo, one of the things i would fear most is to bin someone elses car.

i have done 2 engines tho lol.

one i helped as mush as i could to rebuild and that car is now sorted, the other was a ford press car, funnily enough on track at silverstone for ford fair lol

Whats it worth, or what will it realistically cost to replace?

IMHO the two sums are at least a grand apart.

engines going bang are the owners responsibility not drivers IMHO.

unless ofcourse it was buzzed on a downchange or similar. the way i look at it it would go bang nomatter who pressed the loud pedal
