My mam has a nova 1.2 and some theiving cunt stole her bag.It had her Only Key for the car in the bag.
do you think another old nova key may work??
If not where will i be able to find another ignition barrel with a key?
cheers
A decent locksmith may be able to make you a new key from the number stamped on the locks, I had this done once with a mk2 astra which is the same era, was about 100 quid though.

I dont think any 50 quid nova would be complete, you are looking at a couple of grand for a good straight rust free nova these days, enthusiasts cars with prices to match,
Another key wont work in my experience, Scrapyard for a new column and lockset
cheers Chip, was hoping you'd answer.
how easy are the column's to change?
i know the ford ones are piece of piss, if you have the KEY. but never tried changing one without a key.

i dont think he needs a rust free nova, just the key/locks etc
i was randomly comparing a complete car to the price you mentioned for just a key
if its a facelift dash, pull the hazard lights switch out and replace upside down, you will now have full electrics and be able to jump the car. IF it doesnt have an immob/alarm.
