Warped Discs...
I know you get them machined or woteva to sort it, I had it done years ago, can;t remember how much it costs? and is there a point where a disc becomes too warped to sort out?

it's no problem to get them machined, provided you don't go below the manufacturers specified thickness.
I've had a couple of sets of cossie ones done from time to time, but mainly because they've actually not been very old, and virtually unworn, so plenty of material to get machined and stay well within the thickness specs. Mine in fact weren't warped as such, but rather had pad material transfered onto the surface due to overheatiing from too soft a pad, which caused the brake judder.

Do you know how much it cost's roughly?

don't know the 'real world' cost Adam - I was getting them done for Ł10 pair, but there was a deal done for that..

as a bit of an aside here - in the majority of cases, disc problems are caused by brake pads that are incompatible with the use (abuse?) that they are being put to, and end up overheating and damaging the discs.. either by distorting (warping) the disc, or more often than not, transferring pad material onto the disc surface which forms hard 'lumps' that create the familiar brake judder due to variations in disc thickness as the 'lumps' rotate past the pads.

I had exactly this when I ran green stuff pads on std 2wd cossie discs.
plus they had corroded a bit on the inner face. I had them skimmed for Ł8 each cash at a friendly local engineering place and they still had more than enough meat on them.
unfortunately they warped again within a couple of months even though I was using different pads so I ended up buying new discs anyway!!!
